Top tree has long been overshadowed by its bottom cousin, with the extended super generation, regeneration on kill, and one of the best neutral games of any subclass (for Titan at least).
That doesn’t mean top tree doesn’t have anything to offer. The only thing it lacks in is its super, which compared to bottom tree isn’t very impressive. It maybe can counter supers if you cast it from a high height, but other than that it’s just meh. It isn’t even good for Boss DPS.
The slam attack for fists of havoc in general isn’t worth using over the shoulder charge because of its high energy cost and low damage. (part of the reason striker titans are so annoying. They just shoulder charge everywhere.)
What I suggest is this:
-Increase the base damage of Fist of Havoc’s slam attack
-decrease the amount of super energy consumed by the slam attack.
-(maybe) give top tree the perk from d1 where using the slam attack sends forward a wave of arc energy. It could work with the aftershocks perk as well, acting like the thermite grenade in terms of effects. If that’s not balanced then it could just work on initial casting.
These changes would both make top tree and striker in general more usable, especially in PVE. In PvP it would make the super more effective at the cost of it not lasting as long as bottom tree.
