It’s a good post. Ppl don’t like the truth though. Regardless, I’m on record as having an opinion that content should never go away, until D3 drops, and then it should remain for those who want to continue in the D2 environment. That means, Bungie has effectively chosen to not want me, or ppl like me, in their game, someone who is approaching 6,000 hours in both iterations of DestinyTheGame. I have NO problem paying for content, it just shouldn’t be removed every few months. Are we in the last year of D2? Will there be a D3? Will there be a Destiny version on the new consoles next year? Will it be new, or just this same game pushed up to that console? Is Bungie Developing Destiny brand new content on the “black box” right now? Will it be for D3 or D2? Those types of questions make a difference to me. Bottom line, content that is so impermanent it barely lasts 90 days, is dead content before it is even released, to me. I’m not prepared to hop into an entirely new paradigm of subscription and evolving content when we don’t know a single thing about what comes a year down the road. Bungie knows, they have to know. They can’t be going from season to season, if that’s true, this game is in trouble. Big trouble.

  • Lmao subscriptions. Jesus -blam!- y'all need to go to work if this is breaking the bank and to be quite fair your bought more moronic things in life than content that will come and go. Lmao all content comes and goes in a game like this d1 is perfect example y1 weapons being useless after updates diablo 3 also had an auction house in the beginning that morons paid 100 of 1000s of dollars for just to have something new come out.

  • They are still available though. I still have my yr1 nameless and 3 yr1 sins of the past, one in each burn. I still use them. When it comes to foolish purchases, 100% agreed. Looking backwards it’s easy to Monday morning quarterback bad purchases. We all make mistakes. That being said, only a fool will knowingly part with his money in advance of what is to be a bad decision.

I still have my MTG cards from 1994, Ice age, Beta, Revised, 4th edition, lots of them. Having them removed from me, without my choice would be considered theft. Bungie can choose to remove content, it’s their game to develop and make rules as they see fit, I get that concept 100%. It’s just my very humble opinion, that anybody who values a dollar wouldn’t knowingly purchase something that is so quickly removed. A good example might be going to see a movie for $25, as it’s gone immediately. I completely understand that concept of thought. But me? I don’t rent movies, I don’t go to see them, I wait until they are available to purchase and then I own access to it forever. Or, until that access is removed, and in the rare case it is removed from my digital library, I immediately receive a refund in the exact amount of what I paid for it. We’re all different though. I’m just pointing out my view on things. Feel free to donate your hard earned monies to for profit companies all you would like, it’s just not my “cup of tea”, as Devrim would say. Edit: Grammar
