You can replay the living story episodes from the journal page, but the actual world events don't usually stick around outside of meta events in the new maps.

However, if you miss a season then it costs 200 gems, equating about two dollars or around 75 in game gold to buy it and access it at that point.

Hmm. I never saw the option to play season 1 (it had something to do with clockwork stuff I think) for any price but I could have been looking in the wrong spot. I will have to go check that out now.
