Yeah they do, most mmo games have monthly events that disappear after they complete and come back later with more exclusive offers or if the playerbase didn't like the event it never comes back. Also other games turn around and sell you dlc two months later that could have been in the base game. Have you been blind to how the gaming industry has operated for the past forever?
