Let us upgrade old gear into 2.0 rather than having to re-earn it.
We already grinded our crap once, not a fan of doing it all again.

Yeah. They did it with the Majestic set which had a fair time investment in it. So did my Prestige Leviathan set. It took weeks upon weeks of running it with one character to get a single piece I was missing. Even then I had to break down and buy it from Benedict.
