Chill, in like a month, everyone is going to have a full set of each element so they can put together most combinations. Having only one set makes it boring and nothing to chase. The DLC has only been out a week, you are not expected to have everything in a week...

  • Forcing elements and such on certain gear is a failure of Armor 2.0. All this expansion has done is create weaker characters by limiting their supers, grenades, melee, and ability to get special and heavy ammo faster by adding in a gimmick that makes you think it will go faster, but in reality doesn't come close

  • The dlc has only been out a week and it's already a huge disappointment. You cant launch shit and expect people to wait for months for it to be decent.

  • It's called playing the game to get items in a MMO style game. Getting every drop in a week is not a good definition for a game being 'decent'

  • Destiny is not a full blown MMORPG, but is is a looter shooter that falls into the MMO style of games similar to something like Borderlands and The Division. These types of games are more than just a PVE campaign with a PVP playlist, they are games where you make and build a character over time. In a COD game, you expect to complete the campaign in less than 12 hours then spend the rest of the time in PVP. In Destiny, there is no clear endpoint. If your endpoint is completing the campaign, sure, it only takes about 2 hours to do the Shadowkeep campaign, but if your endpoint is getting to max power, or getting full raid gear, or getting Seasonal Titles, then you should expect to be playing for hundreds of hours. That being said, yes, I don't think you should expect to have everything obtained in a week. If you think you should have everything in a week, let me point you in the direction of a game like COD.

  • Online critical reviews aren't much better. Metro for example, ripped Bungo a new one of Shadowkeep.

  • I think you missed the point on this one, we're talking about new armor and how the new system will require less complete sets in order to have every Armor 2.0 option available. All you need is 3 sets, anything above that is just having sets that maximize certain stats like Intellect, Discipline, and Strength. Even if you have different sets for optimization, you are looking at like 10 armor sets MAX. If you have 70 armor sets, then you clearly are holding on to way too many old armor pieces. I am keeping a bunch of Forsaken armor with perks that are unobtainable now, but will probably get rid of most of them over time as the Armor 2.0 perks are much more potent. I like the way the current system is, it gives more customizability without the feeling of having everything unlocked after only getting 1 set.

Sure if I wanted to boil my creativity down to 3-10 sets I could, but there's over 70 exotic armor pieces in the game soooo I let my mind roam free in the possibilities for them all. Plus that's just bound to get boring, especially for Destiny. Need something to go for.

  • You do realize that once you have an Armor 2.0 piece with a certain elemental affinity, it is exactly the same as other Armor 2.0 pieces with the same element? The customizability is with the mods you put into your armor, and the current system allows for more customization than ever. It's funny that you are saying you want more armor sets to obtain, yet, I made the exact same argument when saying I agree with keeping the different element affinities. We are sort of saying the same thing in that regard.
You do realize that once you have an Armor 2.0 piece with a certain elemental affinity, it is exactly the same as other Armor 2.0 pieces with the same element?
Not aesthetically, nor are the perks I put on them or the stats I aim for ( don't tell me I can just switch, that's dumb and slow.) We aren't really saying the same thing, the only point I made to you was having one of each element, if the system was less restrictive, that'd be nice.
