Chronos watched the screen in front of him, seeing all; both the mundane and the exciting. Countless calculations flashed upon the screen next to him, calculations of time and space beyond comprehension.
Suddenly, Chronos felt his very atoms being pulled through space and time. He had never experienced anything similar to this. Chronos was about to teleport away, but he was too late.
He found himself in a room with navy-colored walls and floors stretching for eternity. Nothing could be seen for miles on end.
"Hello, Chronos."
"Where am I?" Chronos asked as he brushed off his suit. His briefcase was no where to be seen.
A menacing chuckle boomed. "At the Center, Chronos."
Chronos' eyes widened. "The Center?" A million questions flashed through his mind. "And who might you be?"
Another chuckle. The room darkened, turning pitch black now, as if a great shadow was approaching him. A giant hand closed about Chronos, leaving him nowhere to be seen.
"Rebirth is necessary, Chronos. Your foolish employers have held you back. Allow me to fix that.
