Bungie's marketing strategy causes gamer fatigue. Only 10% of the player base will complete the raid. Somebody at Bungie needs to rethink some things IMO.

  • The Raids need to be challenging, everything else in Destiny is already a participation trophy game mode. The reasons why there aren't more people finishing Raids is matchmaking. Bungie wants it this way because Raids need communication, understandable and yet people would adapt if they are stuck, they would start to communicate through game chat or create a party at one point and they would end up making friendships in the process.

  • Like I said determining whether its good or bad people dont do the raid bc they cant simply type "LFG Leviathan" into a world chat isnt up to me thats on Bungie to figure out...I didnt raid at all up til Kings Fall because of the reasons I mentioned, i didnt have anyone else that played and didnt really know how to find people to play with til I joined a clan

I support your opinion, did it in my first post just added random letters ;) I think Bungie should do a 1 month Beta Run for Matchmaking and see how the community reacts. Clearly not everyone is socially equipped to make the first step to find a group of players. Clearly not everyone knows about LFG. I'd assume that most people play the game and never come to this website. When the campaign is done they fool around a little bit and leave. Everything that is to accomplish in the game should be in the game, using apps / computers to fin people to play with me is like Guardian Tinder. Everytime I do that and we are stuck someone drops out due to lack of motivation, the person in charge announces he is posting the open spot and 2 more will drop out because they are too impatient and already frustrated. With Matchmaking this could be solves within seconds. Have the joining player agree on the encounter and the team is ready to go.

  • I agree The ones who complain loudest that matchmaking a raid wouldnt work are the ones that wouldnt use it anyway as they have a clan or other players to play with If they do it though I think they should put a necessary mic feature in, as i personally think verbal communication is a must Could even make it lore friendly and you would have to go to the tower and send out a transmission asking for help that would show other players your class and power level

  • I agree. I always hate it when I basicly have to do stuff outside of the game for game-related things. That's why I for example hate trading in Path of Exile so much, since you have to do the trading on a webside, it'S the same with the LFG for Destiny. Even if they don't add matchmaking, an LFG channel should be the bare minimum. One that goes across regions and tower instances, so it is always filled with people. Make a spam-protection like, people can only post something every 30 seconds or so.

  • It is because you are playing with people who still playing. You don’t play with people who left this game because of no matchmaking.

I can’t help but wonder if the reason a lot of people don’t complete raids is due to a lot of people just wanting to lone wolf everything. I’m just coming back after a really long break, but I’ve never found the raids to be all that difficult, just that people aren’t A: willing to commit time if they don’t down a boss immediately or B: that people aren’t willing to help others learn. I don’t really have an opinion on the other stuff, the game is fun for me now but very well could be because I took a break and had played the plethora of other games I have and still have to finish in some cases, which could have prevented an actual burn out.

  • Gamer fatigue is the truth. We were discussing this the other day. Never felt like this in D1, but now it seems like just a few days in on every season we feel like we are just dead tired all the time and have to take more frequent breaks from the game.
