Well in terms of the first destiny that's completely inaccurate to say because it was the first of the franchise and they are going to be rough at the start because it's new. By the end of D1 it was a absolutely amazing game with a thriving fan base. The problem with destiny 2 is that Activision Got involved and they wanted something new and different to be appealing to casuals and didn't give a care about the already existing fan base. They are also the ones who pushed for so much macrotransactions. Now while bungie did the right thing by splitting from activision it also comes with the result of losing the massive funds, resources, and workers that they provided. Bungie itself doesn't have as much of those by any stretch so they are essentially a small company who's trying to do the players better, while the larger companies are not. To put it in perspective they're a lvl 5 company trying to make a lvl 10 game, while lvl 10 companies are making lvl 5 games. Not saying they don't have their own problems, just saying there's more to it.
