The wind picks up and the skies are blackened by clouds from the sea followed by a dense fog bank. As the fog clears, a single ship, Winters Breath, slides onto the beach with an entourage of dead whales and smaller sea life.
Nil drops down from the deck and addresses the gathered crowd of heroes and soldiers all armed and aiming at her, "Now before any of you SHITS try anything..." she snaps her fingers and a bottle appears in her hand. Winters Breath becomes a flurry of snow that flows into the bottle. She puts a cork in it, tosses it in the air, snaps her fingers again, and the bottle vanishes.
"Magic!" Nil shouts, jazz hands.
"Anywho, as you could probably tell from the smell of... rotting fish in the air...I have returned victoriously from my conquest of the oceans! Yay me, clap clap clap! To be honest, I'm not exactly thrilled with the smell, but I do enjoy the blood stained waters! That is very much my aesthetic! I wouldn't recommend swimming in it. There's, like, a LOT of sharks."
She turns back to the crowd with an unnerving smile and a glint of madness in her eyes. "I'm rambling, theres a point! Let's get to it!" As the witch rambles on, the tide retreats. She raises a hand and begins silently counting. One, two, three, four, five...
"This stinky fish smell isn't the only smelly smell stinking up the place. Theres a smellier stink that's been festering for awhile... all these armies, these massive war machines, these fleets of star ships, even viruses halo rings...these Gods and demons and dragons and uber powered mages..."
One, two, three, four, five...
"This constant escalation, this power creep... its killing this place. Arent you tired of it? Dont you wish we could go back to the old days when we were just Gunslingers, and Knights, and Robots, and Trash Witches living in the Dumpster out back?"
One, two, three, four, five...
"So that's what I'm here for! To wipe the slate clean! The Hard Reset! I'm going to wash it all away!" As she shouts this, she turns to where the ocean was, arms outstretched. An awkward moment passes, her arms fall to her sides and her shoulders droop.
"Did I miscount?" Then, a wave appears on the horizon. "Ah! There it is...it looks awfully small..." she turns to the crowd, "What do you think? 40 feet? 60? Know what, let's just do a hundred. That sounds ridiculous, I love it." She raises a hand to the approaching wave and it grows in height.
The witch turns back to the crowd with a frown, "Why haven't any of you attacked me? Oh, right, I Charmed all of you while you were distracted by the bottle." She snaps her fingers once more and the crowd reanimates. They mumble to each other, they shout for the witches head, they take a few steps towards her before they see the approaching wave.
"You should be running, darlings..." Nil smiles again and the crowd flees. "As for me, I'm kinda gonna just sit he-" Nil is cut off as the water slams into her and she is swept away.
The city was just hit with YUGE wave and everything is under water. What would you like to do?
Water level! Everyone's favorite! I'm doing this off the top of my head with a vague plan, a few ideas, no sleep, an upset stomach, and a headache. Let us -blam!-in do this thing, my frens.
The waters calm and begin to subside from the city. Off the coast, on the deck of a white ship that is not the Winters Breath, Nil stands and observes the chaos from a good safe distance. She smiles as a trio of Sea Elves climb aboard. "Hello dear, I trust you have news for me?" The shaman of the three steps forward, "Aye, the runes were carved and the words spoken as you asked." With a yellow grin full of shark like teeth, she adds, "and a hundred thousand souls were lost to the sea!" Nil raises her arms to the sky and hisses a spell in an ancient, forgotten tongue. The blood within the ocean begins to glow. Droplets rise from it, flying upward like rain in reverse into the swirling dark clouds above. After a moment, the waters are crystal clear and the clouds begin to disperse, allowing the sun to illuminate the destruction. The Sea Elf turns to the witch in confusion. "That's it?" "Yup!" Nil places a hand on the Shamans cheek, "do you remember where you took them?" There is a brief flash of violet light in the Shamans eyes that spreads to each member of the crew. The Shamans face goes blank and she responds, "I...dont...recall. What are we here for, Captain? My minds foggy..." The witch smiles, "You're here to pillage and plunder as if this there were no tomorrow." Then the witch turns to you. "You're still here? Its over, go home!
