PSA: when someone pops a roaming super, it isn’t a competition who can shoot the enemies first

It’s just amazing how many times you activate your roaming super, and your fellow guardians just see it as a sign to double down on their effort to shoot every single enemy in sight. Personally, I try to leave all enemies for the fellow guardian who is running his/her super, if I have time to react. Sure, sometimes you’ve already launched your own cluster rocket, GL round, nova bomb etc., but if I have time to react I won’t shoot. More orbs of light, better NF score etc. etc. for everyone involved. (I keep weakening major and boss enemies, but I’ll leave the kill to the roaming super, if I can.) Maybe Bungie could somehow better incentivize good behavior from fellow guardians? I don’t have any easy solutions though, since it already gives fireteam orbs. Maybe as a solution fellow guardians could receive small super energy increases for each enemy your buddy kills? Edit: I’m not crying about “me losing kills”. I see this happening to fellow guardians just as much. It is just that I have observed many others from waiting out the super. Lots and lots of selfish little Jesuses running around. But carry on…

If we're matched into a nightfall....and letting you generate orbs is crucial to our odds of successfully clearing the content? Sure. But if its just a garden variety strike. pub even, or Nightmare hunt? Not necessarily. If I'm trying ot complete bounty or quests steps in a strike....How is letting you generate orbs help MY situation. In fact, letting you generate orbs that I DON"T need....may lead to me having to run an additional strike that I don't have to in order to accomplish my own goals. That is part of sharing the public space in a game like this. Its understanding that other players may have their own goals....and allowing for it as long as it doesn't dramatically interfere with your play experience. So not letting make the entire screen blow up with your super? Minor annoyance...and I'd strongly suggest that you just get over it and accept it as part of random matchmaking. Someone speed-running that same strake with so little regard for YOUR wish to play through the content that enemies are literally DESPAWNING in front of you (or my personal favorite the guy who keeps doing that, only to keep dying over and over....especially when he's so far ahead that his dying WIPES the entire team. I actually had a guy RUIN a Calus bounty I was working on because his wish to speed run...and then dying WIPED me and ERASED my progress. )? Big problem....and admittedly a serious peeve of mine in strike play. Since working together to efficiently clear the content often gets the team done FASTER, than the guy determined to run off and leave everyone else.

    • So you want your teammates to suddenly stop trying to win at the game, any time you activate your Super? Yeah, that's just silly. Save your Super for the right moments. Don't blame teammates for doing what they're supposed to do.

      • I just downvoted your comment/post. FAQ What does this mean? The amount of upvotes (bumps) on your comment and/or post has decreased by one. Why did you do this? There are several reasons I may deem a comment/post to be unworthy of positive or neutral votes. These include, but are not limited to: * Rudeness towards other people, * Spreading incorrect information, * Sarcasm not correctly flagged with a /s, * -blam!- you. Am I banned from the Bungie.net? No - not yet. But you should refrain from making comments or posts like this in the future. Otherwise I will be forced to issue an additional downvote, which may put your commenting and posting privileges in jeopardy. I don't believe my comment deserved a downvote. Can you un-downvote it? Sure, mistakes happen. But only in exceedingly rare circumstances will I undo a downvote. If you would like to issue an appeal, shoot me a private message explaining what I got wrong. I tend to respond to Bungie PMs within several minutes. Do note, however, that over 99.9% of downvote appeals are rejected, and yours is likely no exception. How can I prevent this from happening in the future? Accept the downvote and move on. But learn from this mistake: your behavior will not be tolerated on Bungie.net. I will continue to issue downvotes until you improve your conduct. Remember: Bungie is privilege, not a right.

      • WOW, you are complaining that your teammates are doing their part. Nobody cares about your kills but they do care about winning.

        • The annoying thing to me is how the game got out the door like this. The only reason is that they knew players would act this way and decided that it was fine because they wanted groups that actually think about working together to be more successful. Rather than having groups do well because the game is designed to keep them from doing poorly. There's also just laziness, lack of forethought, and deadlines. All of which are just as likely. Warlocks are lucky to have super they can just stop using if they want.

        • Despite what Bungo would have you believe, Destiny is full of selfish individuals more concerned with completing bounties than team play.

            I. Fųcking. Hate. That. If I'm running ahead of you and you can clearly see me all electrified and shit with my arc staff out, why tf are you annihilating everything I run toward? Damn.

            • So true. Every now and again I’ll get a group where we can all keep supers popping by leapfrogging who’s turn it is to produce orbs for the other two, but a very large majority of the time people just keep “orb blocking”. I’m sure bounties have a lot to do with that too though. I’m less likely to pop my super If all I need are specific weapon, melee, grenade, and precision kills. I’ll keep that to normal strikes though. Once I’m in nightfalls it’s all about the teamwork.
