Why the Traveler doesn’t speak, at least not like the Darkness

Ever since the Darkness started sending us message, guardian after guardian in this sub have stated that they will side with the Darkness given the chance. However unbelievably stupid and hasty their decision may be, there are a few reasons for it. The primary one is that they have become disillusioned with the Light, and the Traveler itself, and also they have listened and believed the Darkness’ account of the Traveler or Gardener, regardless of the fact that it may not be the whole truth. They believe the Traveler Evil and Darkness Good, and drink up its words readily. Some of us who have stayed loyal or are still on the fence have asked ourselves, “why hasn’t the Traveler spoken, if it’s alive? What is it’s take on this?” The thing is, it actually has, though not in the way you’d think. That vision we had, back in D2 vanilla, the Dark Forest, the End Credits scene, the Forsaken Subclass Tree missions, that was all the Traveler. You see, the traveler doesn’t speak to us. It shows us. Instead of telling us it’s interpretation or trying to deceive us, it shows us what it wants to tell us. That’s the difference between the Traveler and the Darkness. The Darkness tells us what it wants to say. It very possibly has omitted several important details that would’ve made these guardians think twice about freely falling into the Abyss. The Traveler, instead of deceiving us (for how can you deceive someone if you do not speak?) it allows us to make our own interpretations, and doesn’t outright say “This is good” or “this is bad”. The 2 are similar, however, in a key way: both require a vessel. The traveler used the words of past guardians and the Speaker, while the Darkness literally reached inside our Ghost and possessed it (which in my opinion is rather gay), with us having no say in the matter. It’s also rather silly that we would side so readily with the race that almost drove us to extinction, had the Traveler not intervened (and yes, the Traveler did intervene. It didn’t run, it stopped the Darkness and that’s why it died.) Perhaps (and this is only just a theory, a gaaaame theory) the Traveler is testing the guardians by not speaking a lot. It knows the strongest of will won’t join the darkness so easily, and we will be stronger without weak-willed guardians. Only problem with this theory is that it’s almost like the Darkness’ philosophy, so I digress.

Maybe the speaker was conjured by the traveler similarly to how the darkness created a mirror of yourself to speak to us. Both take forms of something we will understand, in the case of the traveler the speaker, and the darkness us.
reached inside our Ghost and possessed it (which in my opinion is rather gay)
also that line is pure comedy
