I feel that the subclass system in the first Destiny worked better than the one incorporated in Destiny 2. I would much rather prefer to choose my own set of perks rather than have them pre-picked for me in branches. Also, since every subclass pretty much has two supers, why do we have to go back and forth between the menu to use the two? For example, why can't I cast Hammer of Sol by pressing the buttons and Burning Maul by holding them? I feel that this system would allow players to further personalize their guardians, and be more prepared for each scenario.
If this doesn't make sense, I posted a link to a google doc to visualize what I feel the subclass system should be like. I know that some perk might need slight tweaking(for example, have Aftershock, Reversal, and Impact Conversion work for all melees, instead of just the set ones with that branch), but I still feel that this would be a much better system than the one currently used. I can post the other subclasses of this gets enough attention, and if people are curious as to what I think they should be changed to.
