There are two kinds of destiny players.... those who can use Izanagis burden, and those who can’t.

  •
There are two kinds of destiny players.... those who can use Izanagis burden, and those who can’t.
So you have never been holding reload and it didn’t work in charging the shot? You must have used this weapon a minuscule amount......

  • It happens, but it’s user error. Instead of posting a complaint on the forums about a non existent problem, I slap myself on the wrist and do better.

  • Lord of wolves has a larger clip. You wouldn’t reload after every burst. This is not the case with Izanagis, and this a firemode isn’t required. Lord of wolves firemode also doesn’t change the ammo of the gun. Izanagis fully consumes the ammo used to proc honed edge. Adding a fire mode will have one of two effects: 1- swapping firing modes from honed edge to neutral would lose you up to 3 ammo on every swap, just like reloading with honed edge procced does currently. This would suck, as you couldn’t fire off that round and reload naturally like current, you’d be forced to swap modes and lose the ammo. 2- the gun would require a significant code rework to fix the ammo issues stated above, wherein honed edge would not consume the ammo until fired. This removes our ability to load a honed edge and then pick up bricks to restore the lost ammo, and takes valuable dev time from other more problematic issues of the game. Bottom line is a firing mode change is a nerf both ways. Better to leave it how it is current and just get good at using it.

A simpler solution is don’t use the firing mode if you don’t like it. Console wise regularly sees the one shot get loaded before reloading.

  • Then I offer you the same advice. Don’t use honed edge if you don’t like it. Izanagis is fine as is.

I bet you resisted the hard light changes and borealis fire modes also through the consoles.....

  • Excuse me? I’m not sure what you’re saying.... I use IB regularly and don’t want a change to it that will ultimately nerf it in favour of eliminating user error.

Hard light, borealis were great! They enhanced useability WITHOUT nerfing or changing the gun in any way. That is not the case with how Izanagis works, as I outlined above. If you have any ideas to circumvent those issues, let’s discuss them.

Once it was implemented or better implemented it made way more sense. In your previous “outlined” posts - You basically just outlined potential issues that (may) arise if badly implemented into the gun.
