Do you agree with "bros before hos"?

If your bro liked a girl, but she ended up liking you more, would you go for her even if it meant damaging your friendship with your bro? Or making it awkward? Let's assume it didn't even mean she was cheating with u on your bro (which is obviously bad), but you knew he liked her too, and they had possibly dated previously. Which is more important? Your heart or your bro? Personally, I take "Bros before hos" very seriously, and would never make a move with a girl if I thought it would hurt my bro in any way. Then again, I've never really been faced with the situation so... What are your thoughts?

No. If you are both simply interested in her....she gets a say in who she wants. If her chosing you over him is such an issue that it damages your relationship....then he really isn't a friend. Now if she's already in a relationship with him....but her eye starts wandering in your direction? No way. Absolutely not. if she'll do it with you...she'll do it TO you. In my way of looking at things, even if she breaks up with him...she's still off limits. An ex-girlfriend of my brothers and I got really close when I was in college. We were probably a better fit in terms of personality than she was with my brother....but that was NOT a line I was willing to cross out of respect for him. He would jokingly claim that he would be "okay" with it. But I knew him well enough to not believe it....and my own value system was screaming "NO". ...and I respected it.
