You know, I don’t know what I’m doing, but we’ll make this work. Improvisation is my specialty. Do everything on the fly. That way, if the plan doesn’t work, you have a Plan B, so to say, that isn’t a Plan B at all.
Music is food for the soul they say. Music moves people in many ways. It makes us feel multiple emotions. Music is a way to help us express these emotions. It’s basically poetry with sounds attached. You can sing or you can play. You can even do both! Anyone can make music.
Inspiration is a funny thing. Anything can inspire you. This could be people, animals, experiences, hell, even a piece of grass or dirt can inspire you. Inspiration comes out of the blue for me. I see something then boom, I have ideas to write.
It’s good to have an open mind. If you become too attached to one way, you won’t get very far. Think outside of the box. This ties into problem solving. If you have only one way to solve a problem with many solutions, you might be in trouble. Let’s say the only way you know how to solve a problem isn’t the answer. What happens then?
Achievements. Something that's' usually celebrated and seen as good. All a matter of perspective. Some people rejoice with an achievement while others scorn them saying “You could’ve done better than that,”. It’s best to support an achievement if you know it was rightfully earned through hard work and honesty, as most are. Healthy support will lead to a healthy mentality.
Childhood. We all have one but have experienced it in many different ways. Some have bad experiences while others have good experiences. Some of us grow up quicker than others, sometimes too soon. If too much responsibility is thrown upon a child, they will grow up quicker. A child sees the horrors of this cruel world. They find empathy after a while. If we had more empathy in this world, we would be able to accomplish more.
It’s good to have ideas. Some are good, others not so good. Almost no one enjoys talking to a dull person. Have personality, life, something that makes you interesting. We’re all interesting in our own ways. We all have the potential to do something beautiful. All you need is the ambition and willingness to do it. Do you?
The good old social “norm”. What does “normal” even mean? Does it mean having social stability? Having the same ideas as everyone else? Normal is conforming. We’ve been told throughout our childhood we’re all unique. Which one are we: unique or normal? Better to be unique, really. Be your own person, not someone else’s shadow, copying every move they do.
Things don’t advance without a change of some sort. Change is good, it helps us get ahead. Most people dislike change. I didn’t like change for the longest time. I was scared, scared of the future and of the uncertainties. Without change, you’ll never experience something different. It’s good to take a risk once in a while. Be sure to think through the possibilities though. Every action has a consequence.
Is it worth to have relationships with people? Would you rather be alone without knowing the heartbreak or have relationships with wounds so deep they’re unable to completely heal? I believe it is worth the pain. Some people manipulate you while others use you. Sure it might hurt a lot but in the end, our experiences help us understand others better. Next time we get in a situation like that, we know to get the hell out of there. A sheltered life won’t help you survive in the world, I know that from experience. It’s nice to keep your purity though. You don’t have to become a complete sinner to understand the world we live in.
Don’t ever sacrifice your happiness to keep someone happy. I mean this as a long term thing. If you’re miserable in a relationship, people close to you will notice. They’ll tell you to get out of that friendship or whatever and you’ll most likely say “but they need me”. Please, don’t do that to yourself. I was once in a situation like that and it got to the point of me almost ending my life.
Please, please, take care of yourselves.
No one is perfect. All of our lives we have unbelievably high expectations, no matter what gender you are. No matter what you do, the expectations get higher and higher, sometimes getting to our heads. We think we have to do better or we’ll be failures. Drill this into your head: it’s okay to make mistakes; it’s okay to fail. When we make mistakes, we learn. We’re less likely to do something like that again. Mistakes are good, not bad. Don’t strive to be perfect, strive to do your best in whatever you do.
Words of wisdom are bestowed upon you every day. It comes in many ways; sometimes subtly without notice while others in a spectacular revelation. Take heed and recognize these words of wisdom.
I hope you all enjoyed this series. Thank you so much for all the support and contributions that kept this little thing alive. I'd like to specially thank the people like Hammer that posted for me while I was out of town or just doing who knows what.
