Pokemon Sword is fun
Despite all the controversy with it, I’m still enjoying the game just like I thought I would. Even Reddit is starting to let up on it a bit. I mean, it’s a Pokemon game. Of course it’s going to be fun.
I’m not very far yet, I just got to the first Wild Area, but I’m already having a blast. Yeah, I wish I could turn off the experience share, but honestly that’s the only thing I’ve disliked so far. It’s pretty good. It’s kinda like USUM 2, which is fine by me because I liked USUM.
So yeah. It’s not horrible despite all that’s been said about it.
Edit: Just beat my first gym. I’m still spending too much time in the Wild Area lol. The leader’s strongest pokemon was level 20 while my pokemon are all mid to upper 20s
Edit 2: Damn so many people are ahead of me. I’m like 8 hours in yet I just beat Nessa lol. Though I did take a long detour to get Sirfetch’d.
Edit 3: This’ll be my last progress update because I don’t feel like making anymore and it seems like a majority of people here have already beat the game so yeah.
3rd gym is down, I now have a fully evolved starter (Inteleon), and I’m currently derping around in the Wild Area grinding out raids and trying curry on my way to Hammerlocke

For the most part I tried to beat everything on camera without Dynamaxing (i.e. everything in the Gym Challenge), but that gym was one of the two times I had to—the other being Leon himself. Now, granted, I only had 3 or 4 Pokémon at the time, and one was Scorbunny, but still.

4 RepliesI just became champion, obviously I'm enjoying the game. I'm not too sure if there will be much to do now though. Its weird there's no extra legendaries or many new things to do after finishing.

2 RepliesI'm glad it's fun. I'm still trying to figure out how to setup a second emuMMC on my Switch before I start playing. I may just start playing on my Zacian and Zamazenta Edition Switch Lite. I still need to get an SD card for it though... I don't know whether I will start with Sword or Shield either.
