Although 3v3 elimination is in Crucible Labs at the time of writing this, I've been thinking about what is preventing this game-mode from achieving it's full potential in Destiny 2. One thing that comes to mind is tracking perks. Personally, I believe the current tracking perks are giving too much information to the enemy, and breaks the true balance/flow of the game. The enemy knows exactly where I'm at, and when I plan to peek. Usually I run away, or get collapsed on (considering the enemy team is communicating my position).
I'm not saying tracking perks need to be trashed, but here are a few ideas I thought of while writing this:
- Flash my current position every (?) seconds to whom is tracking me (Like spectral blades tracking perk, but not as powerful)
- Get rid of the red "X" marker on the tracked player, and make the radar constantly show the direction in which the tracked enemy is moving for (?) seconds (makes the person tracking me take their eyes away from the middle of the screen, and possibly giving me a chance to retaliate).
- Don't change anything, but lower the tracking time to a minimal amount in which the player tracking me knows which direction I'm headed post-combat.
Like I said, these are just a few ideas off the top of my head. I'd love to hear your feedback/input if you have any! Thanks!
