Not sure what the logic was to get rid of Momentum Control from the Crucible list. It was a blast to play, with the boosted weapons everyone became a threat and the lack of radar made it more exciting and realistic. It was one of my favorite selections to play and now it's been replaced with Mayhem, which is just total GARBAGE. It's got to be the worst selection of all the Crucible matches. Absolutely NO FUN at all running around in a match that's basically a super fest, NO SKILL, NO CHALLENGE and NOT WORTH PLAYING.
If you want to create a Crucible match that is different and a challenge, why not make one where all you can use is your melee ability and have no radar available. This way you have to search out your opponent and get right up on him for the kill, no BS super match or anything like that. It would be a blast to just run around knocking guardians out the whole time. Another ideal is to create a match where all the guardians use the same weapon, like a hand cannon. Make it so that when you enter the match you're provided with the weapon that you'll be using so that anyone can play. There's so many more Crucible selections you could create to spice things up.

There are two sides to any coin. What one likes, another may dislike. Did it occur to you that there are those who have preferences opposite yours? Those who like having a Super v Super game and hate having a "hardcore" game mode. To each their own. Besides, it's already been mentioned that they'll be adding to the rotator list. It's not the end of the world.

I played momentum control a few times and since I don't have jade rabit and OEM I couldn't enjoy the game mode. I love no radar because it makes people use skill. Mayhem is always an annoying version of clash. I like to disappoint supers in d1 with a tasty supression grenade because I believe in primary weapon slots that are actually used and not just shotguners running around like chimpanzees.
