There is so much build up and hype for literally nothing, I get something I don’t want and have to listen to my relatives ramble on about nonsense while I over eat.
Christmas is anti-climatic and a waste of money.
Edit: the music is also awful

Not really. There was a time when I loved this time of year, a time when Christmas was a magical time to spend with family and enjoy life. To finally treat others as you would want them to treat you. (Which people should be doing year-round, mind you.) Then I started working in retail, and I saw it turn from that into National Capitalism Day, only extended to the last six months of the year. Why in the name of Heaven and Hell is Christmas merchandise going on the shelves in AUGUST? People are breaking their necks and killing each other over one day in December, so much so that they forgot the whole "peace on Earth, good will toward man" message of the holiday. I mean, good gravy, there are people that would skip Thanksgiving dinner, a day to be thankful for what they already have, just to shop. "But muh Black Friday deals!" Shut up, stupid! It's Thursday! Go eat something with your relatives and leave the Christmas shopping until the next day.
