Matchmaking and Fusions

More than ever this game’s skill ceiling has been getting less and less apparent. You don’t need to be a good player to top frag anymore, or to even be the main factor to winning the game. All you need is a bad internet connection and broken weapons (looking at you backup plan fusions who backpedal with scouts/pulse rifles). My suggestion is to monitor the sandbox heavier, and the matchmaking as well. SBMM is not needed, just because some low level players say so. This game needs to listen more to it’s more dedicated crucible players and top tier players when it comes to pvp, not the PvE veterans who stop by pvp for an hour a week. Connection is key in a game like this where having bad internet is rewarding, so ultimately make the matchmaking random skill-wise but make sure it’s region locked please, I don’t want to face someone from Korea or Saudi Arabia when I’m in New York. There are many more things pvp related that need to be fixed, but my main issue is the fusion rifles being way too easy to use and the matchmaking. Please do something about pvp Bungie and don’t ignore it like you have for the past 5 seasons. ❤️

 •
More than ever this game’s skill ceiling has been getting less and less apparent.
Destiny's skill ceiling has never been super high to begin with. Movement and aim is about it for the most part.
You don’t need to be a good player to top frag anymore, or to even be the main factor to winning the game.
Yeah... Just like many, many other FPS games, from Counter Strike to Battlefield.
All you need is a bad internet connection and broken weapons (looking at you backup plan fusions who backpedal with scouts/pulse rifles).
I haven't checked your loadout, but this just REEKS of "I have a hand cannon equipped and can't adapt my playstyle at all."
My suggestion is to monitor the sandbox heavier, and the matchmaking as well. SBMM is not needed, just because some low level players say so.
Debatable, it's more a culprit of team balancing that lobby quality is down, and SBMM, or rather Rank Based Matchmaking should 100% be a thing for Comp.
This game needs to listen more to it’s more dedicated crucible players and top tier players when it comes to pvp, not the PvE veterans who stop by pvp for an hour a week.
Hard disagree, that exact mentality is why Overwatch is so aggressively unfun, and it's debatedly why this games been in a near-perpetual Hand Cannon and/or Pulse Rifle meta since House of Wolves, if not Dark Below. That's also the reason why D2 launched in such a sorry state.
There are many more things pvp related that need to be fixed, but my main issue is the fusion rifles being way too easy to use and the matchmaking.
Fusions aren't easy to use, they're easy to shoot, but they're a way to equalize the smart, positioning oriented players with the Adderall-junkie twitchy shotgun and sniper players.
