I feel like Dawnblade should have a melee class tree. Like, rather than throwing waves of fire and flying through the sky, I'd love to see something esque of Arc Staff, though an obvious difference would be that the attack loop could continue as you soared across the battlefield, cutting through foes with a blade that burns brighter than a phoenix's fire.

Another extremely unpopular warlock opinion, but sanguine alchemy is lightyears ahead of one eyed mask even after its first nerf (not in its original form though). Better tracking More targets No prerequisites Empowering rift and healing rift are OEMs secondary benefits on steroids Better radar Works with team mates You don't have to win a gun fight to get the full benefits (idc who you are your going to loose gunfights with or without wall hacks) Last but not least your opponents don't know they are being tracked creating zero counterplay.

Tbh bottom tree kinda needs a rework.
-
So going by most people's opinions so far a fast moving guardian with a one hit kill melee attack sounds op.. (But hunter arc staffs are fine.) But the exact same attack that is fired across the map with some tracking, is about right. 🤔 Ok
-
I always wanted nova warp to be the melee class for warlock. Instead of floating around making explosions around yourself, you instead float around with a void charged hand slapping enemies or guardians so hard and with so much void power that it caused an explosion on impact.

No. Dawnblade is Bungie’s take on the warrior angel archetype. What you’re asking for is not consistent with the inspiration of the subclass.
-
Dawnblade super damage is just weak that's really about all it needs.

I would like when I hit people with direct impact with a sword that they'd actually die. -
They should revert rust Glide back to the way it was. Loks are so slow now.

This is dumb

Another unpopular opinion: bottom tree Daybreak is fine without the previous speed boost
-
Edited by Swiftlock: 2/19/2020 11:43:30 PMSounds insanely overpowered in Crucible. The damage reduction and movement speed buffs of the super would have to be REALLY toned down to compensate for being able to instantly kill players while moving quickly through the air. By then, what would even be the point of having such a super? This would be fun in a game that's not balanced so hard around PvP. Sadly, Destiny is.
-
Sounds good they should rework bottom tree anyway and this idea can replace it
-
I hear ya dawg. I’ve been saying the blade should do melee damage up close.
-
I wouldn't mind them changing top and bottom tree of every class and subclass as to differentiate their super.. we have the same kind of super in both paths, with the different one being the one in the middle and not even then.. arcstrider middle tree is the same super just with ability to block..

Daybreak has a flaming sword. I don't see why we can't hit someone with it without needing to throw it.
-
Sounds... OP. Though, I could picture some melee attack while in the Super. Besides bottom-tree Pheonix Dive, which they could totally fix better in my opinion.
