It's just plain insulting to the players considering all the time we have invested into the game grinding to achieve pinnacle weapons or optimally rolled weapons. Have you conveniently forgotten that your customers lost everything they had earned in D1 when they "upgraded" to D2? With the nerfs and outright elimination of a intrinsic perks to Whisper, Ignazi, Luna, Last Word and Fusions, it really is starting to appear as if Bungie harbors true contempt for its customers in Destiny 2. Either that or someone at Bungie gets sadistic pleasure from constantly knocking down player accomplishment.
I am really dreading next season with the tiresome and ultimately pointless grind.

agree w OP feels like Dev are trying to off load experienced player base

How simple minded are you? Change will always happen, and it has zero to do with your pathetic feelings. Why are there so many people who get their ass chapped over game changes? It has everything to do with the game, zero to do with insulting the players and other moronic crap.

This is an MMO. You are not supposed to have any weapons better than any others in an MMO.
-
All the weapons you are pointing out are old . Let them eat dust and make room for new stuffs. Who knows maybe next season something new is coming

BROUGHT TO YOU BY BUNGIE I’m Jacob Benton and I approve this message

I like how they knew what the reaction would be so they didn't even bother pinning a link to it this time. Gonna miss that guy that used to give his weekly TWAB downvote :D

Edited by an Ape with a d2 addiction: 2/24/2020 1:57:04 PMFrom the TWAB, the fusion changes look a lot like they'll still be viable. This is coming from a guy with over 600 crucible kills on a firmly planted backup plan elatha. They're really changing the effective range, not the ease-of-use for max stability rolls that're the godrolls even now. Luna's and NF original nerf was a good thing. We can discuss this if you disagree. TLW has the same headshot + bodyshot TTKs as hammerhead and around the same ease of use. Are you saying that's fine for a primary? And if so, why? Not a pve expert but doesn't Izanagi have around double the usage rating to all other special guns in end-game pve content? Wasn't that the same for pre-nerf WotW with the heavy slot? Are you saying that's fine? And if so, why?

Edited by WormChi: 2/23/2020 8:40:33 PMDon’t forget TLW one of the last iconic weapons in the game and best counters to shotty apes. Also 90 rpm snipers can no longer shut down supers making them far less viable.

I’m using a common Bygones over Not Forgotten. I still play....but about 80-90% less time per week. Grinding to get something and then it gets nerfed, not fun.
-
I’m sure it’s just to spite us lol. Community does it to itself. Must have xxxx weapon. Groups kicking for not having them. Have to use xxxx to compete. Funny thing is that a new meta will rise and it will repeat again
-
I don’t think your argument has any merit. I can understand the emotion behind it (just about finished upgrading the opulence cup for izanagis catalyst) but what’s being nerfed does need it. The deeper you get into d2’s endgame or the more competitive you are the more apparent these issues are. I will say last word even tho I -blam!-ing hate that gun and I always have, it got hit a bit too hard.

Bungie is slowly killing the game.
-
We make it to the top of the mountain,(pun intended?) and the reward is a swift kick in the nuts.

Edited by Cal: 2/21/2020 10:19:40 PMThe goal is is to remove in game desirable options so that you desire eververse items. They are proving themselves to be a horrible company.

Edited by GabZoool: 2/23/2020 5:56:49 PMThey are lazy to make real content and without bugs. And now they cant even make sandbox changes right. Which are just some expression changes in game code so 5 minutes of programmer work. The ultra super mega new nightfall difficulty which no one cares. The same old nightfall maps for 2 years now, just another 5 minutes expression change in code. The enemy will shoot faster, have faster skill cooldown and power level difference will be 100 maybe. And everything stays the same. No triple enemy spawns or triple mini boss spawns for fun like in other games where they work on difficulty changes, everything same here for 2 years. Zero work on them, just 5 minutes code change.

TL;DR. +11 for the super dramatic title.

Look... it’s easy math.. Op or power options added in makes the game fun and attracts players... Then players cry about the power when they go play pvp... Then bungie nerfs exotics and power... player base dwindles... So bungie not only adds in new op/power, they make catalysts that improve exotics that got nerfed the first time... player count goes back up... They go back to crying about pvp... Bungie nerfs not only old stuff, but even stuff that they nerfed fixed with a catalyst, then nerfed again.. player count goes down... Repeat... all the while, the core experience to enjoy this amazing circle is two years old and it’s $10 every ten weeks to grind something new of which the rewards are reskinned. The reskinned stuff is funny to me because they obviously can change anything to any weapon.. but that is too much work for a live team. Boom 🤷🏻♀️

As long as people are buying silver they don't care.

Waaaaa waa wa waaaaa

I like the damage reduction to distinguish the grenade launcher archetypes. Lord of Wolves needed an adjustment. High impact fusions needed a few tweaks. Glad to see Auto’s getting some love. The sniper nerf isn’t necessary. The overall nerf to GL’s is a let down. Shotguns need to be nerfed into the ground. I’m neutral to the Last Word nerf and Izanagi’s nerf.

We are a joke to Bungie.

or no one actually puts any thought into the planning of the synergy between the weapons, and perks and the player environment. Can they really not see that reintroducing a perk they eliminated in D1, in the manner they originally released it in D1, wouldn't cause the exact same problem, and then force the exact same nerf? this is just one example of not paying attention to their own past experience the saying "those who can't remember the past, are sure to repeat it" seems to be hitting right on point
