Jessica ran back to the cellar. As she drew closer she heard a single scream rise and fade away.
"Ghost, did you hear that?" She asked, slowing down to catch her breath.
"No, hear what?"
She sighed and started running faster.

Jessica turned onto the street with the cellar. The building had fallen further, its windows shattered. She used her Light to once again defy gravity, soaring over the building, landing safely on the other side of the building.
Once she reached the other hit the ground, she saw that the doors to the cellar had been blown off their hinges, rubble and shrapnel covered the steps down. She started her descent, carefully, trying to avoid making too much noise.
Reaching the bottom, she saw all the people she had brought here dead, a deep crimson pool covered most of the floor. To the right of the door lay a dead legionary, a cooking knife in his shoulder blade.
"What c-could have done this," she whimpered. She stepped down trying not to step in the blood.
"I don't know, it doesn't look like any Cabal I've seen," her ghost said, curiosity in his voice.
She heard a deep growl from the stairs behind her. She started to turn but the creature leapt at her, catching her left arm in its jaws. Jessica let out a pained cry as the beast knocked her to the ground, struggling to grab her shotgun and the beasts toothy maw shredding her arm.
Jessica found the shotgun and pulled it closer, the creature finished with her arm went for her throat. She pulled a leg to her chest and pushed back the beast, lifting her weapon, she pulled the trigger.
"What is th-that?" She cried through gritted teeth, the pain was getting worse as the adrenaline left her system.
"I'm not sure, but I think that did all this," her ghost said, gesturing to the bodies.
He circled his Guardian, healing her wounds. Her left arm slowly regenerating and the punctures in her neck dissappearing.
She looked down at her robes, all but her arm had blood and dirt soaked into the threads.
Once her Ghost had finished healing her he studied the terrible creature with great curiosity. Its red scales and metal claws glinted under the light of his light.
"What is this thing?" He inquired, "I've never seen anything like this before."
Jessica sighed, "Come on Ghost. We might make it back to the evac."

"Jessica! Look at the Traveler!" Her ghost yelled, his voice ridden with panic.
