Normally, I'd say there's a way around this. But right now all a solo player can do is do their 2 year old milestones for 2 weeks to hit 1000 power and be able to do a special lost sector. That's about it. That's not the best game design.
I'd reccomend getting bit generator and the discount upstages ASAP to make your future grind easier. Unfortunately, that's all I got.

Guess we are playing different games, having no problems. And it has been 1 WEEK!!!!

RNG. One guy got to 1k power without doing a single pinnacle drop. I had to do all my pinnacles to get to 1k and half my drops were duplicates.
-
And what can non solo players do other than trials?
-
Freelance competitive gives you a powerful drop every level up. You can hit 1000 in a few hours without needing to be a PvP god all while playing solo.

or you can stop hindering yourself and play with other people as the game intended, instead of moping crying and pointing fingers at Bungie because you choose to hold yourself back.
or you can stop hindering yourself and play with other people as the game intended, instead of moping crying and pointing fingers at Bungie because you choose to hold yourself back.
Ya, you seem like a nice guy. /s All sarcasm intended. Bungie has done an awful job at making this a "social " game. In five years I've had one person join me in "team chat". I've joined six different clans all of them were useless and dysfunctional. I've been on Live since beta and never seen a worse implementation of social aspects of a game. Topping it off with your "friendly" advice.
-
so you joined 6 bad clans, so what? does that mean all clans are the same? no do some research into who you are joining, it's not difficult. there are tons of friendly clans who will help, you had a few bad runs and stopped. still on you. for that matter these types of posts have been around since D1, if you people can comment in mass on these why aren't you smart enough to befriend the others like yourself and play? that would make sense though..... my advice is sound, people just get upset when the truth is pointed out proving them to be the issue all along.

Yes. Because making solo play incredibly limited or completely gated is good game design. Please.
-
this is not a single player game. it's damn near braindead of people to expect it to be so. there's nothing wrong with the game design in this regard, it's the mental deficiency of the players.

Edited by DampishMids: 3/16/2020 7:22:07 PMIt is a solo game. Youre stupid for thinking otherwise. You start the story missions solo, do you not? It just throws you right in. You literally cant start the game with a team. You can add them after it starts, but the game starts you solo. Therefore it is a solo game. It is also a multiplayer game. If you can do both, its both. You sound stupid. There games you literally can not start solo. Theres games that do not allow multiplayer of any sort. Not split screen. Nothing. Youre pretty mentally deficient to the point i am concerned wether you can even breathe from your nose. You seem pretty mouth breatherish to me.

Hold on there... that’s a bit of conflation. There is campaign, which is short-term. What you are complaining about is co-op, which is long-term. The only two ways you can play solo PvE long-term is to either reconcile there are some things you probably won’t get, or get good at soloing. Maybe even a bit of both? There are soooo many things you can do to raise your light solo, but you have to do them. I started this current game week at power level 964 and am currently at 981 - and this week isn’t over. I’m right on the edge of be able to solo the legendary lost sector, and with a few more levels, I will. All in the space of a week. I’m nothing special. I have a job and a family. My schedule is all over the place, which is why clans don’t work for me. I made peace with all that some time back. You can accomplish a great deal alone in this game, but you can’t do everything. That’s how it’s designed and intended. You’re going to have to be okay with that, or you won’t be able to play.

it is a multiplayer game, google it and read it yourself. every multiplayer game does have things that can be done solo, that is a staple. does it make it a solo game, hell no. a solo game you never play with other people and your rant makes you appear to be all of the stupid things you tried to apply to me. read this, exactly what you'll see if you google it, never once to you see single player mentioned, just multiplayer listed twice. don't breed we don't need your DNA to carry forward Destiny 2 is a free-to-play online-only multiplayer first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie. Aside from the raid, I didn’t do anything to get to 1000 base power that I couldn’t have done solo.

Well that's RNG drops. For me to get to 1000 power, I had to do a raid, master difficulty activites, the dungeon, all my milestones, and Trials. Not to mention several primes, many of which were wasted drops.

I did mine on one and was 1000 power by Friday. Then it took me about 10 minutes to get my titan to 1000 power.
