I see were your coming from but as a solo player too I have to disagree a little.
It take seconds to set up a LFG post, you dont have to socialise or build a friendship,you literally just want numbers in the lobby, lots of guardians will join even if you specify you dont have a mic (dont want to talk) or just want to quickly compete a pinnacle activity.
So its crap that you dont get to enjoy the banter and build some sort of rapport with people, but theres always a way to find people.
The only thing you'll really struggle with is Raids, but then as myself the same as you, a full time dad, full time job you probably wouldn't have time to Raid anyways.

LFG has been a not so good experience for me. Felt like wasting the little time I have to play.

To be honest the game has become so repetitive and Grindworthy, that the whole experience, knowmatter how long you have to play feels like a waste of time now, chasing pointless bounties, rinse and repeat. I started playing the new COD MW battle royal,free, its quick, easy to play, matchmaking and enjoyable. (If you like that sort of thing) Really dont miss the whole Destiny grind anymore.

Was never into COD because the background stories/world are not my thing. Always loved Bungie's world, art, music and shooting mechanics. Looking forward to Halo Infinite, re-playing single player games like old Halos and ME. If I load up Destiny, end up doing more strolling and art watching then real play lol. Wish it was somehow more story driven, some of the campaign missions were cool, but can't really play those again unless they're on the a la carte that week.
