I don’t wanna sound like a dick or anything, but why would someone spend all this money to play a game like this and not play with people? It’s not really a single player type of game.

Actually, if you read the description for Destiny 2, it’s listed as a single-player game with online multiplayer capability. Like, in the PS Store, and Steam as well. When I load into an instance, more often than not, other players are alone as well. That this game is primarily multiplayer simply because it has that capability is a myth.

You can't enjoy even half the content of the game alone.

One, those all have matchmaking, so you clearly missed the point of the post. Two, as a result of being matched activities, each of those can be enjoyed by solo players. Ergo, single player activity: doesn’t necessarily mean you’re playing it alone. What I think the OP was referring to was the notable step backward Bungie took with the Seraph Tower being an open world public event, like Court of Oryx rather than Forge Ignitions, where there is not matchmaking...it’s just out there, in a lake or field, and you may or may not get anyone to come do it with you. It didn’t just start with this season though. It’s been an issue since Shadowkeep came out.

It's also a shooter, actually that's the part Bungie does best.

This is true but you get to shoot a lot of stuff in the raid.
