Trials is probably the most useless, waste of time Bungie has decided to bring back to Destiny. And there’s a lot of reasons why. 1. Token Farmers. The fact that there isn’t any incentive to go flawless besides a single master worked armor piece that you can get later down the line in future trials weekends is the main reason the first 3 wins are almost as sweaty if not just as sweaty as the last 3, and it makes no sense. 3 games in a row I’m met with nothing but 2.0+ KD streamers or Token Farmers looking to get and hoard as much of those tokens as possible so they can get good loot. 2. There is no incentive to go Flawless. The main reason for these -blam!- token farmers is the fact there is no Flawless Incentive. All you get is a master worked armor piece as stated above, and a CHANCE to get a Ghost and a Sparrow. It’s absolutely pointless, and the largest waste of time. It’s the main reason no one goes for Flawless, and all the sweats are at the 3 wins. 3. Casual Players are neglected. Sure, trials is meant for the “best of the best”, but that’s just unfair. What’s also unfair is the fact that casual players or even decent players can’t get past or to 3 wins because of the amount of sweats and/or token farmers just wiping the floor. It’s the reason Trials is literally the least played game mode in Destiny right now, literally 9% of players play it and it’s horrible. Casual players who look to want at least one of those good looking trials rewards are pushed away by the fact they can’t get to 3 wins at least, and it’s pointless! Then they’re stuck there with Trials tokens they can’t use to get any gear that they’ll just loose the next weekly reset. It’s unbelievable how low the player base is for Trials, and that’s a huge shame on Bungie for making it as half-assed as it seems. 4. Hackers/Beaver Codes. Now, luckily I myself have never fell victim to these people but just the sheer amount of hackers on PC and error codes people get every game is just so incredibly stupid. The fact that it’s even a thing, is just baffling! Hackers I get. You can’t stop them all, but there has to be a better system put into place to fight and get rid of them. Error Codes? Just -blam!-ing fix them. Come on guys. Lastly, 5. The fact there are no real special rewards when you go Flawless is unbelievable and another reason a lot of people don’t go for it. I can literally go out and farm for a Scout Rifle or Sniper (Beloved and Revoker mainly) that can be so much better than the guns you’d get from Trials. There’s no Adept weapons, no special ornaments besides some “fancy” glow that goes away in two weeks, it’s just awful. Bungie, I’ve been playing Destiny since year 1 of Destiny 1. I played the Beta of D1 up to now, gone through the Ups and Downs with you, and loved Trials to death back in D1. I played that game mode every weekend, and made SURE I went flawless. But this? This is just sad to see. I hope by next season it could be fixed, or at least most of it. Hell maybe some. Just please. Bungie, Destiny is an amazing game but it really needs a leg-up. I love you guys, and please make Trials worth playing again. - Thank you.
