I really just can’t stand this weapon. It’s essentially a special ammo rocket launcher. Think about it, you [i]spawn[/i] with ammo and get more just by continuing to ravage with it. Fire it down a tight enough lane, and it’s bound to start tracking someone for a kill. Of all the guns in the game, the ridiculous mechanics of the Jötunn have truly astounded me. It’s like no one tested this weapon. Why would anyone even bother running a rocket with it, or even picking up heavy for that matter? It does a rocket’s job well enough. The weapon is so crazy by itself, that picking up heavy ammo is kind of overkill; you don’t really [i]need[/i] it with this gun unless you really aren’t that good. It’s got an endless range, easy tracking, and one-hit-kill damage (with direct hits, [i]and[/i] splash sometimes).
Unless some significant changes or a rework is made to the mechanics of this weapon, I really can’t see a reason for it to sensibly remain an energy weapon. Would it need a buff in crucible if it were a heavy?- probably, but not if it got enough ammo.

Jotunn has poor handling, poor reload speed, a slow charge time and a unique noise when you fire the thing. You have [i]plenty [/i]of leeway to spot a Jotunn user and play around them. Like all fusion rifles, the best thing is to dance in and out of cover and bait them into firing, or work with teammates to flank them while they're trying to charge up. No adjustments needed.
