Primaries need to be overhauled (and other grievances)

Even though the forums have essentially turned into a toilet for a few to shit on Bungie, I am one of the few who seems to be still somewhat enjoying the game after a 6 month break. (all my D2 experience is on PC) I haven't posted on the forums in years, however I feel it is important enough to sum up the community's complaints regarding [b]primary weapons[/b]. Currently, they really suck. Like really bad. I often times find it most effective to run with 2 special weapons in PvE in most difficult endgame content (Eriana's + Mountaintop) and while I like having that option, [b]primaries need to have the power to be effective workhorse weapons[/b]. No one likes only being able to kill 2 acolytes per mag of their handcannon. To use the classic D1 example, most all handcannons could 1 shot minor enemies to the head, and beyond some examples of the more cqc encounters I do not see why primary weapons should not be able to do this. Thus, I am proposing that 150s should be able to one shot all minors, with the exception of say vandals (and their equivalents). 140s and 110s should have this capability, and maybe 180s 2 shotting most ads. Currently, I am struggling to try and love the SS revolver (180), but it 3 shotting most ads makes it really, really difficult. Obviously the other primary weapons should be adjusted in accordance, but handcannons are just the lowest hanging fruit and easiest to use as an example. I am not saying to bring everything back to D1 power necessarily, as this game is obviously not the same. Doing so would again go back to how things were starting to get in opulence, and would be especially problematic on PC. This resolution would help to fix a lot of Bungie's issues regarding perk variety. If rampage's damage bonus only really made a small difference against majors (think crowd control in D1, and how it really wasn't very useful) because ads all got 1 tapped, [b]it would no longer be a must roll on most weapons[/b]. I personally think reload perks deserved to be toned down slightly, but maybe some adjustments (outlaw and FF) were harsh. [b]All the aforementioned changes would make all other perks far more desirable, and lead to people actually using interesting and unique perks and combinations on their weapons.[/b] You might even find that making primaries good again reduces the need for sunsetting as meaningful perk variety is easier to achieve. TL;DR: Primaries need more power in PvE, especially against ads. [b]No one wants to shoot a vandal 4 times with their HC to kill it.[/b] I will be editing this list and adding suggestions/things I think of in the future. Thank you for reading.
