What with the summer upon us, and quarantine, I wondered if anyone here is interested in book club? I tried it awhile back, made a group, and had everyone vote on a book. For some reason everyone chose the Illiad. Good read, but an uphill struggle to get through. Not very many of us finished it. I'm about to start a new book/series, not sure what. And I thought "hey, maybe some offtopians would like to revive book club". If we do it, I would hope those who agree are 80% sure they will actually finish whatever book we select. Want to have some fun discussion/reflection afterwards.
What say yee?

Sorry, sounds too much like English class. "Compare and contrast The Jungle, by Upton Sinclair, with a bowl of glass beads." I love reading, but only what I want to. Right now I'm reading The Old Northwest by Frederic Austin Ogg, written in 1921. Oddly it is about Detroit, which in the 1780s was considered America's northwest. Years ago I read The Blue Hotel by Stephen Crane which is about the wild west. In that era Ohio was the wild west. And now you know. Good luck with your club. Anything that encourages reading is a good thing.
