Why do the foot soldiers of Star Wars not make use of ballistic firearms?

When seriously compared against blasters, ballistic firearms would have an advantage against Jedi in all terms save for logistics. Aside from ammunition, a major draw of blasters is that they are effective against heavily armored opponents, such as Storm Troopers, Droids, and Clones. These armored opponents would typically be mostly immune to bullets, hence the lasers. Almost all Jedi do not wear armor. Many wear light metal plating that is more decorative than practical, and their attire ultimately makes blasters unnecessary. Ballistic weapons take the advantage. Blaster wounds, for one proposed reason or another, are typically portrayed to be far more manageable and easier to deal with than bullet wounds. A bullet wound would most likely inhibit a Jedi’s movement and make their melee combat more difficult. Jedi show an immunity to blasters in their ability to deflect lasers with their own lightsabers. Bullets travel far quicker than Star Wars lasers have been displayed to, and would be extremely difficult to deflect. Additionally, even if a Jedi did somehow reflect a bullet, it would only melt on their saber, meaning they could not use the deflected projectile against the soldier who fired it. Also notable, blaster fire makes a distinct and easily pinpointed sound that gives a clear outline as to its position. Ballistic gunfire is generally so loud and powerful as to make its exact location hard to pinpoint. Do with this information what you will. Lastly, one may argue that, since they carry less total energy, bullets would be far easier to stop with the Force than lasers. I don’t think this is true. From the handful of times we’ve seen lasers stopped with the Force (such as Kylo Ren’s display in the beginning of The Force Awakens), it seems that blocking projectiles with the Force requires a conscious and directed effort against the projectile individually, which would be impossible due to the bullet’s speed. In conclusion, the Empire and all Star Wars antagonists are dumb as shit. They wasted many good foot soldiers to deflected blaster fire using weapons far inferior for the circumstances. With proper positioning, ballistic strike teams could hold near certainty of a confirmed kill against a Jedi. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
