I'm sorry but, didn't we find out or something that Saint-14 was dead?? Was I gone from playing Destiny 2 for this long that I missed something?
Wasn't Saint-14 shown being covered in vibes or something and looking almost in an endless sleep?? ¯\_ಠ_ಠ_/¯
Edit: oh okay, he was rescued by a fellow guardian.
BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HIM THAT HE WAS SLEEPIN' LIKE -blam!-IN' SLEEPIN' BEAUTY

I love getting g covered in vibes .

Yeah if you were here for season of the Dawn You would know if you completed a 30-plus decipher puzzle, our guardians death was revealed by some unknown entity actually kills us... https://youtu.be/rSKIt8wLKQQ Maybe the darkness or maybe even Oryx sister kills us we just don't know but the dialogue at our funeral basically tells us we did save the last City but we made the ultimate sacrifice Even in the dialog saint-14 kind of hints that he may travel through time and take our place so we can come back and fight etc that was pretty much a popular theory back then That who knows maybe that was the consequence for bringing him back. That's why you never should f*** with time travel. Especially when you bring somebody back from the dead there is consequence if you think about it in a Sci-Fi standpoint.

Time travel Freakin time travel It’s freakin weird

Edited by JackofSwords: 6/7/2020 9:20:35 PMTime travel dude. I am no lore master so I will give you the short version. When we see Saint in Curse of Osiris, he’s very dead. The Vex killed stripped his light and killed him. They “buried” him out of respect because of all the vex he killed and all the trouble they had to go through to kill him. We went back in time and pretended his death. So we saved him before he actually died. Saint still had to go through the Infinite forest to get back to reality, which took hundreds of years. That’s why he only showed up last season because he was no longer dead, but stuck in the forest.

Edited by Tâxx, Herald of the IRS: 6/8/2020 8:07:24 PMBasically we (our character, the Godslayer) used Vex technology that Osiris built to time travel and save him before he lost his light and died. If you wanna know how Saint ended up dying in the first place, the Vex created a Vex Mind designed specifically to drain Saint's Light. Saint destroyed this Mind but lost his Light in the process. He made his last stand and killed a f*ck ton of Vex before eventually being overrun and killed.

We are the event that caused Saint-14's death in the first place, of which didnt happen yet, so what we saw had yet to happen even though it already did. Thus, we are able to play out the event differently because we saw what didnt happen in the future.
-
yeah i find that quite odd
-
so think the new avengers movie, but instead of rocks they were saving a russian robbot who now runs trials of ossris
-
Time travel bullshit. One of the worst form of retcons.

We basically time traveled to save him from the Vex Mind created specifically to counter him.
