AFK Forge Farming Still An Issue
To preface this, I, unfortunately, do not have images or videos to show but I can say without a doubt that my experience with the forge post the launch of the new season has been abysmal. I have been grinding for the Jotun exotic and when I try to actually do the bounties to obtain resources necessary, there have consistent people AFK and not doing anything at all. I've never really made a report since most of my issues with the game have been addressed thankfully by you guys but this really irks me, because before you had introduced a patch to address this AFK issue but now it seems to be an issue all over again.
While I hope this reaches someone at Bungie, I can only hope that people really address this issue. And while some common ways to address this issue would be to decrease the time you can spend being AFK but we can see that unfortunately, it would be too widespread and too vague to really implement. My hope is that reaching to you all that you can put an idea together or a system that truly prevents this to a better degree than what it is now since I personally can't think of anything else than what I suggested, and really bring this issue upfront to really punish people ruining this experience.

Haven’t run into a single persons actually trying to complete the forge. Everyone was either emoting, jumping off the map or dumping heavy. Players actually trying to complete the forge are the minority right now. That’s Bungies fault. Blame them

2 RepliesLooking at your light level... I'm guessing you are getting paired with people who are assholes who are going out of their way to not give a crap. My light level is 391... I cannot get paired with active runners if I tried. I only get paired with other afk people. I went out of my way like many others to make it so we Cannot screw active people over. I am sorry you have come across those a holes. They don't care.

1 ReplyMake a fireteam. Otherwise, waste time or do not play forges. I am not happy with SBMM removal. My solution is either make a fireteam to beat higher skilled players or not play. I do not want to bother with making a fireteam for 6v6 qp. So i choose not to play. Done

1 ReplyExperiencing the exact same as you. Can't play the game legit. Wouldn't mind it If everyone who was doing this dropped themselves to 750 but not everyone is doing that. If you want to do this get a fireteam of 3 because it's just frustrating. Had it happen 5 matches in a row

1 ReplyI am a go with the flow kind of guy. If peeps is afk, I will chill for 30 sec and emote with them. If they are trying, then I will help them clear. That way everyone is happy!

4 Repliesafk farming is not the issue, the bad loot and rng is and aslong as this is the case (getting 5 class items in a row from powerful sources) i will continue to cheese.
