It is by far the most efficient strategy to level your character. If the game had a more efficient leveling system built into it's more legitimate systems we would be utilizing that. Many other games have leveling systems that put you close to end game levels at the end of story content. So you don't have to work as hard. This game makes you play hours upon hours, days upon weeks even, to get to end game levels. And it makes you play content we've already been playing up to this point.
TLDR: If you Make a better leveling experience, you will get more players who want to engage with it And not *want* to find the exploits.

This person speaks the truth. Most players want to enjoy the new seasonal content, not grind 20-30 power levels with just old content first. This is NOT common in games like this. I started playing final fantasy 14 the mmo. Its patch content (like a season) provides a story quest that brings players just under the gear score needed for the new raid. Players are not expected to grind old content, they get right to the new stuff.

i am unintentionally farming failed forges now because every group is afkers, at 1036 power this shouldnt be happening, just failed my 50th one
-
Afk isn’t a problem until idiots that don’t understand being below 750 . I’ve been doing forges and the amount of people idle with stupid power . It’s a pitty but this needs fixing if people are ruining games for people. Sorry to be a kill joy but it’s not fair waiting to load and find afk people with 1010 and above light

It’s Loot Cave 2.0. Bungie has never been able to supply the game with enough loot to keep people playing. So they used playing hide-and-seek with progression to artificially extend playtime. People are tired of this RNG-based progression system. We’ve complained about it for years...and now the community is pushing back.
-
This article explain what it is and how it's being possibly fixed. Trials will come back soon and dungeon will go away at end of season. Just get it over with, do it before it goes away. Why? Because: 1. It will show Bungie that power level grind is useless. 2. Bungie never bans or penalize hackers. Also this is Bungie fault (cheese at best) 3. If you have season pass and this season has nothing good in it (yet) you might as well prepare for next season and take the rest of season off... So yeah, just get on with it.

The most efficient way to play this game is not to play it. Straight to 1050 😉

Ok let me drop a piece; today all people want is instant. They don’t want to have to work for anything. Entitlement is what their mindset is. Also I want it now mentality. One of the best experiences in Destiny IS leveling. But on the other hand you will always have those people that hit the easy button when there is an easy button available. Destiny’s leveling system isn’t perfect but it isn’t absolutely terrible either. I like having something to do for a few weeks. New gear to consider etc... you’re not supposed to be “end game ready” at the end of the story. And with this story model, the story will trickled out weekly instead of all at Once. I understand your frustration but I ask you to start viewing perceived issues from many different perspectives and develop a rational thought instead of spewing biased opinions around. Thanks and have a good day sir.

stupid prick. It's a leveling game. you need to work to get end game./ You lazy -blam!-!

I see alot of people both for and against afk farming. I personally was not happy to hear that people were doing this exploit. However... I have come to the conclusion that as long as you are farming it under 750 light I'm ok with it. In fact I decided to join the other 64% of the community farming this exploit as well. Whether you agree or disagree let me just say this. Bungie has created this bounty simulator for so many seasons now and the grind is overkill at this point. My time is valuable as is yours. The fact that weapons I grinded for countless hours are getting sunsetted for literally no reason other than to artificially extend gameplay grinding the same weapons over again is asinine. Example being I have a perfectly rolled bad omens that I have hundreds of kills in the crucible with. It's definitely my favorite rocket launcher that's not exotic. The max light I can infuse it up to is 1060. I now have the option to grind for another one with the same roll but it's still dependant on a little rng. I spent tons of time grinding for this rocket launcher. I don't want to do it again. This is just one of many guns I speak of and I haven't included armor either. Point is Bungie has wasted enough of my time. If I can get 8 hours of the 20000 hours I've sunk into this game back then I damn well can and will do so even if it's frowned upon short of cheating. My suggestion is you do the same or step on a Lego. Your choice.

Is it still working? After each match completed it doesn't matchmake. It's like comp, have to manually re-enter. Anyone else?
-
Okay see this is what grinds my gears. For weeks after forsaken people said it was to easy to gain lvls. They wanted more difficulty and grind. So bungie gave them what they wanted. And now people dont like it and would rather afk than play the game. Its kinda crazy
-
Maybe Bungie should make XP matter - put power level on the player, not the gear.
-
I don't think it's physically possible to be more efficient than afk farming. I mean, I can literally go to work and afk farm. Basically getting paid to farm. That's pretty efficient

Hey i came back after season of undying and most of my clan members are already 1030+ after the first week. How else am i suppose to catch up from being 1000 after burning through the powerful drops (the soft cap didn't seem to work for me. I was getting blues that were 1-2 light levels lower then my current gear) Thats one of the biggest issues with destiny. If you leave the game for a certain amount of time you are basically stuffed if you hope to play endgame content because by the time you reach the recommended level there would be another power increase and no one will be willing to help out.

I got 24 engrams an my ass at work still 🤣
-
Yeah they went from a 10 level jump per season to 50, so my ass is gonna be at the forge lol
-
Edited by Mr Blaze: 6/15/2020 5:39:38 AMImagine buying a looter game so that you don't play it to get loot rewards We are living in an unprecedented times i tell ya
-
What's the point of leveling up now when they will make me do the same tedious grind next season.
-
Is there a better way to get umbral engrams? A genuine and legitimate farm? I'm at that point where I need one lucky drop to get to 1050 and I'm running out of powerful sources, so why not hedge my bets with a 575pl titan in the forge? Also, why do primes drop like candy when you dont need them; then disappear into the either when you do??
-
How? I step away for three minutes and I’m kicked to orbit.
-
Don't AFK players get auto booted?
-
Honestly, I think the Lost Forge farming and Armor Umbural Engram are not an evil deed. Move long distance, loading, narrow inventry, and buying materials from Spider. Removing not-fun thing will improve QoL. Before you join to new content, you have to grind your power. But repeating power-grinding each season already became boring task for me. Removing not-fun thing improve QoL(Aside from the good and bad of using glitches). I think a lot of players accepts and uses this farming because of they do not enjoy power-grinding, like me. It is good for them, not evil.
-
Aren't most people doing it for the materials so they can farm god rolls? I doubt levelling is involved.
-
They did it to max out for trials then that got cancelled lol.
-
I’m already 1060 I’m just doing it for the New Materials
