I love this forum! The amount of toxicity that was posted about the last season, and so great hope and anticipation about the new one was something to look forward to. Last season was boring, nothing to grind for, too much grinding, no exciting new content, too many repetitive bounties etc....., the list of complaints was endless. New season.....right....I know, I'l drop my light level, go into a forge afk, and go to work, or go to bed, or order a takeaway and pig out in front of the tv. 3 days later.....Yay, almost max level...I can now do some pinnacle stuff and maybe some trials. 2 weeks later.....This season sucks, nothing to do....I quit this game....etc. I bought this season, as I have every season since D1 launch, to actually PLAY it, and I think that the fundamental idea of this game has been totally eroded by the changes that Bungie has made in order to try to please everyone and their dog in this once great game. D1 was a hell of a grind and I loved it, putting in hundreds of hours to complete everything possible on all 3 characters. Those days are gone and it's come to the stage where people moan about a game, and even when new stuff is added, they can't even be bothered to play it properly. Just like modern life, people want everything for nothing, everything asap but don't want to work to earn it, and I bet the majority of these slackers will be the first to vent their anger in here in a few weeks time. I am actually enjoying this new season, apart from the total -blam!--up regarding the sprint mechanics which hopefully will be fixed soon.

  • Maybe you should get a life. Let ppl who have a real life go do their AFK farming if they like. You don't have to if you don't want. Live and let live. No need to judge.

Like I said RD, I have no problems with folk playing how they want, but if it negatively impacts other players, then you have to draw the line. I have got a life btw, a very good one, and I advise people who haven't got time to invest in a long haul game like this to find something they can pick up and put down at their own leisure, cos this game has been adapted to try to please everyone, and it's not working.

  • If the leveling system from d1 was present in d2 id be alot more enthusiastic to level up because i just cant stand milestone leveling. It would be nice to play what i actually want to play and have a sense of progression instead of feeling like every activity is ultimately pointless outside of 3-4 completions a week.

    The problem is light level.

  • But that's how Destiny has always worked. Unfortunately, it's got to the stage where people are at near to max level within the first week of a new season and with 98 days left they're going to be crying on here that there's nothing left to do. Plus it's ruining other people's gaming when idiots are not cheesing this method properly, i.e, going in minimum light level

  • I have no idea what the hell you're talking about. If people ( I won't call them players) want to achieve their aim by using this puerile method to avoid playing the game properly, I have no problem with that. I DO have a problem when these moth******ers who go in on high light level cos they're too dense to even cheat properly, and prevent true players from doing things they need to do. I tried to complete a forge this evening and was matched up 5 times on the trot with pairs of afk morons who were higher light than myself. It's probably too late to fix it now, but these -blam!- should have their light levels reduced back down to 1010
