They just need a good ol swing from the ban hammer imo. Not only are they exploiting loot drops, but they're indirectly hurting the ones that actually want to do the forge.
And the argument that the forge is still doable is bullsh*t because while you're overleveled from 750, enemies throughout most of the entire game scale with you (for whatever reason). 1-2 people loaded into a an AFK session drastically lessens the possibility to complete it.

Even if you're not getting matched within range (which there's no way to test), you're getting drops at abnormal rates for minimal effort aside from keeping the game on and running macros/rubber band your controller while you take a sh*t?

Are you the same type of person that gets mad at people for doing afk fish farms and stuff in Minecraft because it’s “not what the developers would have wanted“? Or are you just trying to get petty revenge because you can’t get your light low enough?

Bungie isn’t going to ban anyone for using an exploit like this. The majority of people who do it under level themselves so its impossible to interfere with regular players. Just chill until Tuesday, it’ll be patched by then.

Maybe they should have banned all the teams that participated and placed in too 3 for the last wish raid race. Because they all cheesed the prime engrams. Maybe the leviathan prestige raid race should be invalidated and all members banned because they used the wardcliff coil exploit. It’s a game loophole, it’s not a bannable offense. Don’t be a child.

Funny you mentioned all those activities, considering they're raids. Everyone is aware of what's going on the fireteam so I don't see why you bought that up. Who does it negatively affect? (Within the fireteam)

I wouldn't have much of a problem if it wasn't affecting anyone else, but it is. And the only reason they won't enforce the hammer is cause of their precious player count, which if they were really focused on the game being good and pump out content, daily logins wouldn't matter as much

they wouldn't have to be so worried about their playercounts if they actually listened to their playerbase of mutants however bungie is too good to take anyone's advice besides their shills and streamers

If people are being decent during the exploit they will lower themselves to under 750. That means they "should" only he matched with other people around the same power. Of course not everyone does this. As for being banned, I honestly don't see a reason to. Some people play hours on end with others trying to accomplish things. Others let forges run while they do more important things in life.
