If I’m an investor and all I care about is people playing the game I don’t care if the numbers are people actually playing or people AFK farming. People are idiots and will keep giving Bungie money for the same old shit they paid for and earned in D1! Why should Bungie care about real numbers if people keeping paying for mida multi tool every other year?

It's fake and it's bad publicity. It's a mark against the developers [u]product[/u] that they can't keep it bug free. It also divides the community and creates a fake progression curve. All things that are bad for the game hence bad for the investment. Your thinking is too narrow and too short term.
