In case anyone's curious, they have doubled and tripled down on the absurd power-grind each season. You can check the max. power-level on gear that's been released over the past year, and you can see that it's a 200 (or 250) increase with Beyond Light, and then 50 every season. So yeah, just in case you were wondering, they have already decided they WILL force you to grind 50 levels above the soft cap every 3 months. And then the pinnacle grind on top of that if you wanna engage with certain engame content. It's -blam!-ing absurd. Once I realized that, I realized that it was in fact the 2nd or even 3rd final straw for me. Removing content from the game in massive chunks, retiring all my gear AND constant needless grind 4x a year? No thanks, I'm done. I was already starting to get burnt out, but this is just absurd.
