Mostly affects pve. God the ignorance.
What happens during the first iron banner when these chess fools get huge advantages over people playing the game legit.
But go ahead, defend cheating more.
Bungie has access to all the data of when items were quired and where. All they need to do is correlate that it happened during an AFK forge session and press delete.
or better yet, restore the users character from back up to before they started cheesing the forge.

STOP COMPLAINING NOOB

First iron banner of a season is usually a couple weeks in. Anyone serious about their power will be fine. Even if they are a little under it doesn’t make much of a difference. Seems like a bunch of noise for no real reason
-
The real reason is defending cheating. It's disgusting
-
There are MUCH worse things to be disgusted about in this game. Something that a hardcore player can do in a week and a dedicated player can do in 2 ranks very low on my list of things I care about. It does in fact mostly affect PvE. Trials is cancelled this week and first iron banner probably won’t be till week 3. Having teammates at high power in PvE content works only to your benefit. At this point in the season no one should care. Powering up is the most tedious part of every season anyways. By the time others power will affect you personally you will already be at the soft cap anyways. Tldr this doesn’t affect anyone else’s experience at this point. And by the time it can then it won’t. I don’t think it’s even worth a fix honestly
-
How is it cheating when EVERYONE has access to it? Tell me now
-
Yeah when I said mostly I didn’t say only. Congratulations, you pointed out an activity that happens once a month that doesn’t fall under pve. It’s not like it happens in a while so the people who don’t use the exploit can have time to get a high power level.
-
All those people will have quicker access to higher level pinnacle activities before they are supposed to. I don't care that it's mostly pve, it's still cheating. Anyone that defends it is also a cheater. I wonder if they teach (or will teach) there kids that's it's ok to cheat? I know I didn't. The fact that there are people defending it is nauseating.
-
It’s not cheating it’s taking advantage of an exploit within the game like when people cheese raid bosses like Atheon way back when Crota and the harpy from GOS plus many more so stop calling it cheating because it’s not
-
It's in the game so...
-
........won’t somebody think of the children???
-
Afk forge isn't cheating. Sorry. Your logic is wrong. I suck at explaining things but let's try anyway. Let's use money as an example. In this case: Cheating = robbing a bank for money = illegal Afk Forges = putting money in a bank that made a mistake and gave a high interest = legal You = working a 8 to 5 job while complaining about people getting the high interest from the bank thinking it's illegal

Edited by pcln3806: 6/15/2020 3:03:36 AMIf that’s such a big deal, then why can you increase your light by leveling up. Armor power isn’t going to mater it a couple weeks anyways, people are just going to reach the soft cap and then they can’t do it anymore. It’s not cheating it’s an exploit, cheating is against the rules of the game, exploits are abusing the games rules, and just because somebody defends something, doesn’t mean that they do it. Damn, people defending people being afk in an activity to increase a stat that won’t mater in a week or two while not cheating nauseates you? That’s extremely petty
