Pretty happy they’re finally looking into taking legal action against recovery accounts and the like. Good on them.

  • Well that’s not been said anywhere and recovery works on the simple basis of signing in on your account at a different computer/console. If you limit the amount of sign ins then you are infringing on basic consumer rights. Recoveries cannot be traced, will not stop and no one has said anything about trying to combat them. Things you hear and then relay in a false way is like playing whispers, you’re just spreading false information.

  • Just because you haven’t seen it yet doesn’t mean it hasn’t been said. Do your research first. Then comment. Recovery services are nothing but a load of garbage. If you have to pay someone to play your game, don’t bother signing on.

  • Well provide your source cos I’m pretty well versed in what’s going on. Your opinion is that recoveries are trash but the way they work is a fundamental aspect of how people play their own games in multiple places so there’s no way to stop them whether you like it or not. Not sharing my opinion, just dropping knowledge on ya sorry.

  • I understand that. I’m not taking anything you’re saying as insulting. I did provide A source in my initial response to the first comment. Not a link or anything as I don’t know how to share those here so you’ll have to search for it. Aztecross put out a video today (can find it on YouTube) where he makes mention of legal action against account recoveries towards the end of his video. I don’t remember his exact wording. If it’s my misunderstanding I’ll gladly own up to that, but his wording makes it seem as though there’s already something coming down the line as to the topic of discussion between you and I.

  • I saw aztecs vid covering all the drama and his thoughts, the thing is the only thing that can be done is to stop people being able to advertise the service. All the people offering it are not going to link any personal details to their service posts, if they’re smart they’d surely make contact with customers on one platform and then get them to send payments elsewhere. Unless authorities have been catfishing people that offer the recovs and trace the payments which I don’t see happening because that’s way more than anyone has ever done and recoveries for many games have been going on for almost a decade.

  • People just use it as a way to make money I don’t get why people have such a problem with it

  • Perhaps to wish legal action against someone for running account recoveries is a bit harsh. For that I apologize. However, I still feel strongly against it. I personally feel it detracts from the experience of lesser skilled players. When a player enters pvp and has to play against someone far superior to their own level of ability it makes for a sour experience and deters them from taking part in that activity. Sure, to some it’s just a means to make money. However, $400 for a video game gun is ludicrous when so many would gladly help you get it for free. It’s predatory and borderline criminal.

  • Yea that’s VERY overpriced I get how it can be annoying but now that skill based matchmaking is pretty much gone is it really a big deal pvp wise anymore? My friend does them and he says that with the amount of time they take with the problem of cheaters they aren’t even worth it anymore.

  • I think at the end of the day an argument can be made against anything. It all comes down to personal preference. I disagree with it for the reasons I outlined. Wether it’s worth it or not anymore, I believe it should be a bannable offense at least. Not saying I want to see tour friend banned. I would like to see it stopped.

  • They are? Good! I've been away for a while, and after hearing about the fall changes and content price, I may just be done for good until the possible D3.

  • Also, according to Aztecross in his video discussing the recent goings on involving sexual predation and harassment as well as the clan BSK and their affiliate OJ, he leads you to believe he has inside sources suggesting recoveries are going to be hit soon legally.

  • According to Luke Smith in his interview with Dr. Lupo immediately following the reveal stream for Beyond Light, they have no intentions of making a Destiny 3 and intend to fully support D2. Its an interesting watch. Bit long but insightful.
