I have been wanting to work on games or with a game studio for awhile, and while I couldn’t do coding or anything extravagant I could see myself doing
concept and story,
and I was thinking where would I work if I had the chance I wouldn’t wanna work on a pvp game but it’s not out of the question. So where would you work if you could?
Mine would probably be Bethesda ew I know but that’s where I would find myself enjoying it I know this is some far fetched dream but maybe one day it will happen.

Personally, As much as I would love to work in a videogame company, I've heard from the great vine that a lot of employees get thrown through the ringer, whether it's bad treatment or a serious amount of crunch, so overall, I wouldn't really want to. If I were to work for a company though, Tough to say! I'd personally give my vote either towards: - Obsidian - Valve - Naughty Dog - Insomniac Games - Bioware - CD Projekt Red
-
I would love to work on the story and lore of games like the Elder Scrolls series.
-
I'd build my own large studio if I could. Indie devs and Bethesda game mod groups are the easiest to get into.

Blizzard, because I got to fix the Starcraft story. First off I'll fire everyone that worked on Starcraft 2's story if any of them are still employed, which if they aren't, then I'll be off to a good start. Starcraft 2's story gets retconned completely and the next major game in the series takes place right after Brood War and the story is done the right way instead of generic Hollywood space opera. Full development is put back into Starcraft: Ghost and the game is rebuilt from the ground up. All gameplay elements, story mode, character design, and level design is beefed up to modern standards. This game will be offered for Starcraft fans and newcomers alike on all platforms. Diablo Immortal is deleted and all Diablo resources are put into making Diablo 4. The game will be dark, scary, have proper RPG elements, and actual strategy like Diablo 2 did. Current development for Diablo 4 will be restarted to meet expectations because what Blizzard's current Diablo 4 plans will most likely be shit. World of Warcraft is done, it's finished. The game has ran its course and no longer will be getting updates and expansions. Development is put into Warcraft 4, a game the fans have been asking for years now. Overwatch 2's development is restarted and the sequel will actually look like a sequel and play like one. This time there will be a campaign mode that can be played co-op, a map editor similar to Forge from Halo, better customization for the heroes, and a more in-depth ranking system. Oh and The Lost Vikings gets a full HD remaster.

Wargaming, as part of their film crew. I’d know how to speak Russian and they make crazy good shorts!
Sorry, all out of salt.
Bungie or BioWare.
-
Sucker Punch Productions or Insomniac Games
-
Bethesda. The only way to fix something is get in there and work at it. Plus, they are in charge of, or have a hand in, so many games that I find surreal and amazing. Fallout (currently). Elder Scrolls. And a hand in, even if not directly, Dishonored.
-
Rockstar, I’d be the guy who just kept making new cars for GTA Online and bringing in millions for the company.
-
Probably some small indie dev that respects their staff. I have no desire to subject my self to the crunch culture that exists at most of the bigger dev studios.
-
EA, Because I like money.
-
Naughty Dog or Dontnod

Probably Sloclap. Working on games isn’t something I’d want to do as a career, but assuming they ever get around to making a second Absolver, it’d be a really cool game to work on the level/environment design for.
-
Probably Nintendo. Hear a lot of good about the studio. Most others all I hear is horror stories of being pushed to breakpoint.
-
Naughty Dog probably
-
From what I've read, a lot of big name devs treat their employees like shit and it's actually a really stressful work environment. So I'd rather just not.
-
Bungie is tempting because I wouldn't have to relocate (I live 15 mi from Bellevue). But I'd be a better contributor for open world games like Fallout and Skyrim, or Bethesda titles.

B u n g i e
-
TSR, of the late 70s
-
If I had to I'd get one high up at Ubisoft
-
I’d either go to Respawn, Hello Games, Rockstar, or maybe Bungo as a management position.

Edited by NinjaW/ramen: 7/11/2020 10:47:43 AMBungie, LucasArts, or Disney respectively. Don't hate me, I just like to create stories in an environment where I can amass my power from a position of... influential connections. Far-fetched is me conquering Hollywood as a critically acclaimed director. I got a note from ten years ahead saying it'll happen, so why not? Unless future-me is mischievous and enjoys terrorizing past-me... I can actually see that happening (having already done it before). *soft chuckle of evil* BUNGIE DO YOU HEAR ME!?

Kojima Productions or Fromsoft.

I’d work for an indie game company as a writer, because Indie companies generally have better moral standards than larger corporations
