PS4 - In Crucible When I melee a guardian, it brings up the character screen. I play Bumper Jumper.

Only in Crucible When I melee (R3) a guardian it brings up my character screen. Its like the game loads the screen right before the melee connects. If its a charged melee on top tree warlock there is no problem. I am confused and really lost as It is ruining my game. I am using a SCUF PS4 Infinity pro. I Have checked all my button mappings and I just don't get it. Has anyone experience this?
I have reset the SCUF controller and the problem persists.
