Bungie trials is painful, when do we get an Anti cheat that actually works=?

Probably whenever Destiny is sold to a competent studio.

Edited by Trafalgar_Lou: 8/6/2020 9:51:24 AMHmmm. Let’s see. Destiny as a franchise is on Y10 + of development, we’re on Y6 of gameplay and feedback, we’re now a sequel into the franchises....so anti cheat...I would say maybe D3 Y2 of course by that point it will be a completely different studio/team and Luke smith will just be an automated android refusing to sign of on any ideas that doesn’t concern Eververse or pre orders. Pre Oder D3 now and get...I don’t know.....some D1 thing.... gjallarhorn, yea you will get giallarhorn if you order now and some exotic ghost, you will get an exotic ghost that detects, I don’t know, detects 6 stacks in iron banner, yea you can do that now. Pre Order Destiny 3 to find out about the dreaming city curse!

When worlds first raid is completed by a team of of them. So affecting PvE.

I dunno how legit this is but aztecross has a comment pinned on this video saying that DMG said anti cheat talk is coming soon. https://youtu.be/AxK6Tv5ytpc There is a trending thread on this forum about a cheater who was interviewed by some streamer, it led me down a little bit of a rabbit hole on cheating in D2. Unless Bungie does dedicated servers no anti cheat is EVER going to be good enough. Cheaters have ways around all anti cheats including IP bans. Good aim assist cheats are nearly undetectable. Insanely crazy the amount of players using them. DEDICATED servers for PvP, or just shut it down. 😡

They keep claiming they're working on it but never say anything beyond that. So either they're lying to keep people hooked or they aren't getting too far at a decent pace to feel it's worth mentioning a release date for the anticheat.
-
to many guys who have Aimbot with sniper weapon and have maphack , at moment is it a katastrophe in pvp
-
It's funny cuz dedicated regional servers would instantly eliminate 99% of the problems with crucible.

Edited by twirlypen: 8/4/2020 4:37:47 AMAlso anti-cheat is functionally useless when a player can just make a new account and be back within an hour. From the exact. same. IP. address.

we need paywall and timewall for trials, anticheat will work for some weeks maybe , look warzone they update anti cheat and nothing rlly change
Bungie trials is painful, when do we get an Anti cheat that actually works=?
Sounds like a PC problem to me
-
No PVP = No problem
-
"we're working on it" "Thanks for the feedback" "We're listening" "I'll pass that along to the dev team"
-
As soon as bungie starts fixing glitches that hinder players
-
After Dedicated Servers.

Edited by hemlock: 8/4/2020 1:20:41 PMFrom what I have gathered, it is going to be very hard for Bungie to create good enough countermeasures agaisnt cheating. I honestly believe they should cut their loses and remove the INCENTIVES for cheating. The big problem that is too often left out of the conversation is the HUGE monetary incentive to cheat. There is a market out there for it. Destiny 2 is not a PvP competitive experience. Bungie should, imho, let go of that pursuit. I am not a fan of the idea. I know this would mean devaluing *Trials* loot in a way... but man, PvP is a mess.

Red Pill time There are barely any cheaters There are a metric ton of bad losers There is a game running on p2p servers There is a game running on Windows 3.0 servers basically

Nevvvva

Edited by michael: 8/3/2020 7:32:18 PMNever as long as people keep playing trials every weekend

Anti cheat isn't that great, the software will just get patched the next day. Bungie needs to block all VPN IP ranges and block IPs when someone is found cheating. Getting their IP changed without using a VPN is a huge pain. Tough luck to the people who need VPN to play.

Never
-
I want to point out that Bungie disallows overlays but not hacks... its kinda funny
-
anti cheat is coming in via cow transport.
-
I would love to see dmg04s reaction when he loses a flawless game to hackers.

If on PC never ?
