Lost my exotic cypher to some unfortunate circumstances
TLDR: poor design + the fattest of fingers = one very salty boi
I can't be the only person that's done something similar to this before. I was hovering over the exotics available to buy from Master Rahool to read what the stats were for each of the weapons, bumped into my water bottle on my desk and proceeded fat finger purchase Symmetry (one of the worst exotics imo).
I know Bungie likes to have a laissez-faire approach to supporting players whenever dumb things happen so I've accepted that I'll probably never see my cypher again. On the other hand, this seems like some seriously poor game design. Why is it that when I want to buy a random glimmer quest I have to hold down for 5 secs (maybe 3 who's counting) to purchase, but to blow half my inventory it only takes one misstep. Another example is buying an exotic from Xur. In order to spend 97 shards to get my exotic, it takes the actual process of me holding my mouse button down before purchase. Why include a mechanic that seems inherently useful and use it in haphazardly?
Hey there! Bungie does not replace in-game items that are lost, discarded, or consumed. (Deleted Item and Character Policy)
