So you're putting stuff in the dcv, I get it, server memory, tracking all the stuff of players, it takes space and resources away from your live game.
But can I ask for a compromise here. For those who would want to opt in, give us a serperate exe with all the removed or "vaulted" content. Don't put any tracking on it, if players wanna hack in it, let them do so. Make it fully p2p so there is no stress on your end. Give them the choice to make private lobbies to play the levi raids. Don't tie any prior account information to the dcv version. There will be NO ACCOUNT TRACKING and hence not using ANY server space.
I know you'd rather charge players for forsaken to access sotp and cos, but just don't. If something becomes so redundant that you remove it, let it be a free asset.
Consider this like a PTR. Except, a non-regulated untracked ptr.
TL;DR: Make the dcv a downloadable offline game with the ability of p2p online capabilities unlinked from destiny 2's servers.
