WWII is canon in the cars universe right? Sarg car is a WWII era car and he served in the military canonically. We also know planes are sentient which means the plane that dropped the atomic bomb was alive. Was the atomic bomb alive? Will we ever know?
-
Are lock on missiles alive?
-
Yeah, it was a Volvo 850 that they dropped on Hiroshima in the Cars universe
-
If munitions were sentient then the 1930s - present would be a nonstop massacre assuming Cars follows our timeline
-
The living vehicles seem to have organic components, so with the relatively simple process of on-the-spot construction, the bomb likely lacked sentience. The plane, however, was the single most dangerous individual alive for a few minutes.

He was, briefly.

I wonder what their reaction was to it......
-
The real question is how about the cars reproduce. Do they assemble each other? How do baby cars grow? Pixar has left us with so many unanswered questions.
-
Just think of the plane taking a huge, midair, radioactive dump.
-
But the atomic bomb was assembled mid-flight. Did they just create life? How is life created in the cars universe? Would the plane have needed to be bigger to hold cars in it to assemble the bomb?

I don't need sleep, I need answers

We also WW2 happened because of Skipper's back story (this also supports my theory that they age differently). Cars 2 showed us that guns and explosives to exist but they're not living. I am rather confident that fat man and little boy were not living. However I am curious about how they would load the bomber or other planes or their guns. And if it's somewhat a replica of our history we can assume that D-Day, 9/11, JFK, Vietnam and labor camps happened.
