With all of the forest fires currently raging it made me curious as to how many of you have been close to one or or ever affected by one. What's your personal story?
The video I posted was from a couple of years ago in my area and was taken about a block from my work. The Columbia River is about a mile wide at this point to give you an idea of scale. It was horrific and saddening to watch the beautiful forest I live in burn for days on end.
Have a great weekend if you can!

Lost everything except for the clothes on my back and a motorbike, last October during the Australian bushfires. It was at the edge of my farm, when a wind turned it into a major firestorm. Causing it to be on top of me and my friend who was staying with me at the time in just a matter of seconds. Where we had to try and flee the area as quickly as possible on motorbikes for the car was already on flames. In the end, I ended up low siding my bike due to passing out from a lack of oxygen and having burnt the inside of my lungs due to the extreme heat of the air. Where my mate ended up having to carry me out of there. So I spent the next few months in and out of hospital. As for things now, I only just started to rebuild this month due to all this lock down stuff throughout the year. So yeah, My heart goes out to all you Americans affected by your devastating fires.
