This redundant post again. The game cannot grow if it remains stale. That being said. Sunsetting is the smaller cog in the machine on the road to makin things better.

I just remember what they said once when the community was all together. When they started all the nerfs on supers and everything. Thousands of players were complaining and telling them not to do it. They basically just answered : "Even if you all dont like it we are doing it because we want to" And thats when all the fun started dying. Nerfs...nerfs...nerfs...and now removal of content and sunseting of what we love to use... Destiny 2 is an awesome game with an awesome community. But bungie dont deserve any of those. Destiny 2 is a treasure kept by greedy dirty idiots (with a big bearded dwarf as a leader). I will forever love destiny for its design and all the friends ive made there.. But i will forever hate bungie for what they are doing to the best game i played. If one day they make another game : f*ck you. Honestly f*ck you bungie i would never play another game from this nacho flavored sh*t hole of a studio. My dream is seeing them selling the destiny franchise to a studio who can see the potential of this game. With new ideasnew designs. Not just...making quests looking like a list you take when you go to the supermarket.

"hating" sunsetting is only like 30% of the community. 60% don't really care and 10% like it.
-
You underestimate the power the fanboys
-
For me, it’s not just the I hate Sunsetting (I do). It’s that this is *the* worst case scenario everyone was worried about when they announced this plan; They’re very deliberately taking old weapons “Sunsetting” them and just giving them right the hell back to us with a new symbol on the weapon icon. Hell they didn’t even wait for beyond light to start. They have us re-grinding for old Gnawing Hungers. And hey, wow, would you look at that new Pursuit weapon huh?
-
And they still went ahead with it despite knowing full well they would receive backlash. Cope.
-
Yea i hate it too especially pinnacle weapons and all the armour i master worked, the rest don’t really care for but yea it sucks
-
I’m 110% for sun setting. F mountaintop and revoker.

*The same 400 people making whiny anti sunsetting posts everyday* Hyperion724:
Realize that everyone hates Sunsetting yet?
It's especially bad when they sunset stuff only to repackage it and make you re-earn it. Not to mention Beloved 2.0 is probably going to have a worse scope on it. I have yet to pre-order Beyond Light, I'm not sure I will at this point.
-
Not everyone...
-
Not everyone agrees.
Sorry, all out of salt.
-
Its been months community, realize that bungie isn't listening to your woes about sunsetting. #letitgo
-
It's because reddit is actually split on sunsetting, and there are more even on the forums that can defend it if done right. So "everyone" is not a factual statement. Some do, some don't. Simple as that.

We're not going to be able to change their minds. They've decided that they're not going to listen until we at least try it first.
-
They did, long before they even started working on implementing the thing, they just don't give a rats ass about people hatting it or not, they know that most will complain but keep playing and buying anyway, so as long as guardians don't start leaving in droves its all working as intended, plus its not just about sunsetting gear either.
-
There not gonna change it. They most likely have been planning it for months before we knew about it even if they wanted to it’s almost definitely to late.
-
Im personally not bothered about sunsetting, as I don’t really grind out weapons to have specific stats. But I understand it’s extremely frustrating for those that do. I just hate that they end up releasing the same weapons instead of making new ones, especially in a new expansion.
-
Problem with claims like this one person thinking otherwise is enough to falsify them. I am one.
-
"I hate sunsetting BUT I will still pay for the DLC" Bungie doesn't give a rat's ass about what comes before "BUT" in that sentence. The real problem is enough people are willing to buy new content despite hating the changes Bungie is making.

Everyone? Hmmm I think you're wrong there

The concept of sunsetting is fine, they're just implementing it in the most ass way possible.
-
The 'idea' of it is fine. Grinding for the the exact same weapon just for a longer expiry, isn't a good idea. Which is why I'm confused why so many like the idea ...
