Dova had sat himself upon a ridge near the farm on a muggy afternoon. His bandana fluttered with a breeze that teased of the coming autumn. The Red War was over, but firefights still raged where conflict was met in the field. The natures of survival never rested. A familiar sound followed close behind like a shadow. Dova knew of its presence, though unaware of its true significance. It had proven itself a lantern of guidance, that lead him to a piece of the traveler, igniting his heart with profound conviction; a sooning purveyor of courage. Dova, a conduit.
Dova had seen the other side of a bus, saving the life of a rabbit from certain doom, only to be caught in the Collapse. The only thing that scared him, was if he didn't try his hardest. He held this truth close, for the darkness fueled his determination. As he left no stone unturned, he knew something would seek find his.
His ears perked.
A proverb overheard from one man to his little brother around a campfire,
"When you get all your ducks in a row, prepare them to be shot at."
Bright fireworks erupted from a skirmish about two clicks from his position.
A pause, then a flare.
He stood, on proud vantage;
quickly finding his way down the ridge.
Trying to find more suitable name for one and more, I am indecisive as I am bad at names. it is only Dova for now as I plant more in to this universe, and I still plan to explain every bit of "Dodavah's" experience. This is a very hard topic and feasible possibility to squeeze. After all, this hero is a canine, where other's will not be. I am very short-staffed on good names, but my next dog's name is totally going to be Dodavah.
